We only need a PC with Windows x64.

Download any PS Vita game to your PC via NPS Browser. It is automatically unpacked (if pkg2zip is connected) and a folder with the name TitleID and game content inside appears. This is a nonpdrm format.

<Decryption of the game>
We grab the folder with the name TITLEID located in the APP folder with the mouse and throw it on _decrypt.exe and wait for the process to finish. A folder with the name TITLEID_dec will appear. Rename it to TITLEID_app.This is the pure content of the game from the developer. For its operation, the console does not require plug-ins (nonpdrm, refood, rePatch).

<Decryption of the patch>
First you need to take work.bin from the game along the path app / TITLEID / sce_sys / package / and copy it to the patch folder at patch / TITLEID / sce_sys / package / and then grab it with your mouse and throw on _decrypt.exe and wait for the process to complete. A folder named TITLEID_dec will appear. Rename to TITLEID_patch

<DLC Decryption>
We grab the folder with the name DLCID that is on the path addcont / TITLEID / DLCID with the mouse and throw it at _decrypt.exe and wait for the process to finish. A folder with the name DLCID_dec will appear.

<Bonding GAME + PATCH + REPATCH into one folder>
The contents of the TITLEID_patch folder can be copied to the TITLEID_app game folder by agreeing to a replacement. As a result, we get one folder with the game and the patch. If the game has a translation or modification, then the contents of the rePatch folder are also copied with a replacement.

<Quick on console installation>
Copy the folder through Vitashell to the console. Select this folder, click the triangle, go down to More ---> Install Folder. We are waiting for a few seconds to go out and start the game.

Isn't this similar to how maidump/vitamin where like? Or is this bug free in regards to saves and playing the games without crashes?

maidump and vitamin change the original eboot.bin and added their skprx plugins that could affect work. This method only decompresses and decrypts without making changes to the executable code.

Ah I getcha, well this'll make it easier to decrypt games, to poke around it's files for translations/mods without needing to use a vita and such I suppose. I'll test out a some games

Do you plan on adding patch decryption too?

1. so technically _decrypt.exe automate the process gets data (zrif keys) from sce_sys/package/work.bin to decrypt stuffs using psvpfsparser? works with DLC's?
2. works only with nonpdrm work.bin and not legit from carts and PSN?

1 Yes, and without access to the network, it works with the DLC. But not all DLc can be copied to the game folder. They need to be combined (and not replaced!) with the game files manually.
2 works with nonpdrm work.bin from PSN. I didn’t check the cards. I can’t answer for sure

Am I doing something wrong? I've tried dragging and dropping the Minecraft app folder, download from NPS, to the decrypt file and it says it cannot execute the command.

I’ve gotten it to decrypt my files and install but my game instantly loads with an error, any suggestions?

TitleID game?
I’m sure PCSE00383 was correct, it just kept giving errors, I can’t remember the exact error code.

I’m trying to get a patch for Borderlands 2 to work, it’s named TweakyBlinders, I’ll try doing this again, maybe it’ll work this time.

Thank you very much. Since my vita 1000 will crash if I include rePatch plugin in the config, I can't play any patched/translated games on my vita. With your tool, I have successfully incorporated the translation patch for Stardew Valley to play on my vita without rePatch. Will test other games soon.

Thanks for this tool. I've successfully patched Date-A-Live Twin Edition for PS Vita, with the patch posted in this forum! Since I hate so much transfer files via FTP, using this to decrypt folders make it easy to patch games!

Always update your system to the latest version of the system software. By updating, you can enjoy additional features, improved usability, and enhanced security.

("The Lost Child", "Darkest Dungeon", "Demon Gaze", and much more, different sony updates cause different games to crash............one update fixes crashes, and the next update causes game crashes, good grief!)

(the excuse this only effects hacked consoles, is not true, sports games were some of the first ones effected, but the list goes on............worth the trouble if the game is problematic, the game engine may have trouble with the encryption the vita added without development testing, that is a good one I didn't think of that)

(nintendo WII may suffer the same issues of a failed war on piracy ........... its cheaper now, but is there a really a reason to buy, game crashes?)


(bad omen "Darkest Dungeon" an updated version of the game scheduled to release or is, for Nintendo WII, I think i will have to pass for now)

List of Games that Crash from this Release Anyone?
(refood in particular caused, the plugin, slow loading and crashes for some users)
(anything that gets rid of refood is good, there was a different plugin "yamt" released recently, anything that gets rid of that too can only be good!!!!! is my game going to crash when a popup takes place, well, currently going through some backups, awesome release)

Chronovolt for example its DLC from nopay*******, once decrypted take the .xml file and add it to the "XML" folder before you "install the game from vita shell", DLC WORKS (you can see other balls unlocked, when you go to the second level)

You just have to give up using DLC because, some game require over-writing files if you try to combine with game folder (where as you can combine repatch (its already decrypted translations), and patch/update once decrypted)............like phantom breaker, if you try to merge will overwrite files.

EDIT

Gundam G. Genesis requires a 3 gig dlc file, it will either work or not if you pop that in the main game folder after decryption. I'll try that, don't think other games require dlc to work, there is one of the (blazblue) fighting games that has a install size exeeding 3-4 gigs too, i'll just test this game out and call it quits on DLC
