Let's see what they have "fixed".
At least some new keys I guess so we'd have to wait 1 - 2 days for new Atmosphère.

Figured as much. It's blatant and obvious that they'll drop the 9.0 update by this time around. Much like they did back then in September of last year's when the Online Service launched along with the NES app.
I highly doubt this will be merely a bump in version numbers but rather an in-depth change of sept tsec keys and you know stuff of that manner.
Wouldn't be much of a surprise if the Link's Awakening remake to demand this exact firmware version to be played but against all odds it should work on 8.1.0 at the very least.

It’ll probably have all the usual changes like new tsec root key, a bunch of changes in various sysmodules, etc. I doubt they’ll make any huge changes to keygen, it’s pretty pointless for them to mess with it at this point

If I had to guess it’ll probably be bundled with 8.1.0 and use 7.x or 8.x SDK :shrek:

I guess only time will tell, and we'll see for ourselves then.

Themes would ne nice and I'd really appreciate them but no music please
That would only drain the battery faster.
Oh, well I was just used to hearing music at the main menu. Not like they couldn't have a option to turn it off. Gamecube, wii, wii u, DSI, 3DS... even the nes and snes classic had music... or even some kind of screensaver, or movement on the homescreen. Is just feeling lifeless compared to previous systems.

I doubt it was intended to. Is just for the controllers they will sell for it (and probably some exploit patches for hackers to complain about again) along with nothing else worth mentioning besides some new character profile pictures. :ninja:

8bitdo gamecube/wii wireless adaptors + snes classic mini gamepads do what fw 9.0 brings to end users.
