No. If yours has 7.0.1 then don't update it and wait a while.
If it's anything later then maybe never.

If this website shows that your Switch is patched, it likely is, and you're out of luck right now unfortunately. :(
To date, the only iPatched switch than can run homebrew/CFW are the ones shipped with firmware 4.1.0 and something similar.
For now, your only option is to get a second hand one that's not patched, but beware of the inflated prices on said devices, as many people take advantage of the fact that the switch they are selling is hackable. It's unlikely to find a hackable switch on store shelves these days.

As for the chances of running unsigned code of the warmboot kind on FW 7.0.0/1...well chances of that are slim, and we never know if it may happen or not as Lacius above said.

the console mentioned in the OP is a Mariko console (as indicated by XKJ serial). They ship with 7.0.1/8.0.1/8.1.0 (depending on when it was manufactured) and are not able to use Deja Vu regardless of firmware.

Warmboot hax is possible on 7.0.x on Erista. It relies on some unpatched exploits and tsec hax, which is why it hasn’t released yet.

Yes, you could send it back.
I would keep the mariko switch though. It has much enhanced battery life compared to the hackable switch. I would use this one for retail games.
You could still get an exploitable switch if you can afford two that is.

Oh! This is news to me!
But as I recall TSEC keys could only be dumped/accessed partially on firmwares higher than 6.2, right

No the new set of switches that Nintendo pushed in cannot be hacked, don’t always trust the serial number search though as i actually encountered a user on here that used the Serial Number Search and it said it can’t be hacked, but the person actually tried it just for the hell of it and was able to access CFW with it.

I have a unpatched console, it's my second Switch, thank you to all, I will keep it and wait for hacking, hope it won't be years.
