hmm...atreyu told me that the issues you're having (if you were using the thing I linked you to) is normal above 3.60. I'll send him that video. he didn't really know how to fix problems with the one I linked you to, but the one you used might be an offshoot of it. he told me that the system will say it's a test unit.

have you tried updating through qcma? I think it's possible to do that in the recovery menu. I've done it before, but that might've been when the system could boot up fully without errors. there's a tutorial on doing this.

I did that so many times with so many XML files and with firmware 3.68 and 3.69

it's from silica and pina. he has a notorious reputation for making brickers. I'm using his update blocker though. it's recommended in the vita guide.

I don't know. you might contact silica and pina and tell him about your problem. I was hesitant to use his update blocker, but it does appear to work without error. however, if you do block system updates, and they've already been blocked, you still have to restart or qcma becomes very unstable.

but I keep getting error code c0-11024-8
EDIT: I unbricked my system by using a ps3 to download the 3.72
