ROM Hack Fire Emblem Awakening Expanded Parent/Child Conversations

My first ever Fire Emblem game was Fire Emblem Awakening, and I love it to death. However, one thing that annoyed me in Awakening is how generic the father conversations (and mother conversations in Lucina's case). Each different father would have a different experience and would react differently with each child. That is why I decided to create this little project. I plan on creating a unique conversations for each parent/child and sibling pair in Awakening, though it will be a work in progress.

You can download it here. As of now, I have it available for HANS and Luma, but I haven't tested the Luma version. Because it worked for me, and I don't really understand hacking all that much (I'm pretty new to this), I will link Unassuming Venosaur's forum post on how to do it correctly here. You should also check out her Gay Awakening and her Gay Fates hacks. Thanks to Anemonie for letting me know that Expanded Parent/Child Conversations and Gay Awakening are compatible!

I've got a poll up for you guys to tell me which child you want a support next here: https://strawpoll.com/yhad223h. I have all of the conversation written here if you want to read them on their own. Feel free to suggest scenarios and conversations. If I use your idea, I'll make sure to credit you. If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask. I used Fire Emblem Conversation Editor to edit these conversations. I recommend using it, it's a great tool. I plan on transcribing the conversations soon, but I don't know where to put them . I also plan on doing the Fire Emblem Fates parent/child conversations, but that'll either be during or after I finish this project. I might post a poll to figure out when. Anyway, thank you for checking out this thread, and thank you even more if you decided to try this hack out!

Hey! just checked in and this is a treat!! thank you for making this!. I checked it on my fire emblem Awakening and it worked with Gay Awakening romhack too - so you have the best of both world!, thanks again for making this, and good luck with your work!, also i think Vaike/Laurent PC is bugged? it shows me this black screen and then back to the menu when i try to access their convo

Hey, thanks for the feedback and for testing it with Gay Awakening! I'll make sure to look into the issue and release the fixed version with the next set of support conversations, which should be pretty soon.

Ok, I have now gone through each link to the new download logged out of my Dropbox account, and each link works. Try it now.

Looks pretty good so far! Maybe now I have an actual reason to complete the support logs now, it was such a slog for me purely because the father/child supports are almost all copy and paste with some minor differences here and there...

I can't really make any promises, but I can probably pitch in one or two conversations if you ever need help with them. It's been a while since I flexed my writing muscle, so that might keep my creative juices flowing a bit.

Hey there! I'm pretty excited for this, but sadly I'm unable to open the archive. I've tried both a direct download and downloading it to my Dropbox, but neither resulted in success. I always receive this error message:

I'm not for sure why it's doing that. Have you tried unpacking it with 7zip or Winrar? If all else fails, I can DM you a download of the folder and you can see if that works.

Yes, I've tried both programs. No luck. I've even tried downloading it in different browsers just in case that would magically make a difference. I just gave it another shot now, both as a full download and trying to simply open it rather than outright downloading "properly" as a saved file, and still no deal. I've have no other problems with any other compressed files, so I honestly don't know what the problem could be.

Just wanted to pop back in and say that I'm really impressed with the quality of the conversations overall. This is how they should have been in vanilla. I've noticed a few typos, and there are a couple places where things seem to end quickly, but overall I really, truly enjoyed reading those conversations. I actually laughed during a few of them and the dialogue felt pretty true to the characters. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future!

Now, on to the meat. While I was going to wait until I had five to send out, I decided that I'll put out the two that I have finished, and then release the other three later.
