As a kid i've been ill 1 time of eating wrong mushrooms and seen a friend die of eating poisened mushrooms (that he took himself from the woods), so that alone was a reaon for me never ever to eat mushrooms again.
It's not that i don't like them, it's more of being scarred of getting bad mushrooms again!

Sorry to hear that. The store version is safe but I understand how you feeling. Being scarred of getting bad mushrooms again. I don't blame you. There are plenty of vegetable for you. Ok, just keep away from it then and you will be alright for the rest of your life. ;)

hehe, alright fo the rest of my life, i wonder, been in the hospital in now for 6 weeks and minimum 2 week to go if anyhting goes good, else longer, but it's nothing to do with food, just another story of my life.

But yes, i eat anyhting from vegetables, raw, cooked, baked any time of the day when i'm hungry
and to be on topic again:
I eat weekly a hotdog my way with fries, just like i eat weekly my typical Belgium steak with fries and fish with mashed potatoes on friday (it's a habbit i got from my parents, the fish on friday)

Wiener boiled inside the hot dog bread with mayonnaise and ketchup (and perhaps mustard), topped with a slice of ham and cheese kind of melting into the bread. I need to keep it simple, I am too lazy to make it better.

Sometimes I'll put nothing on them or just mustard. Chili and a pickle spear in the bun with the dog is also good. I will usually pan fry them, sometimes in bacon grease if feeling ambitious. If I catch the dogs in a drunken state, I'll just nuke the sons of bitches in the microwave and call it good.

I basically do shitloads for cooking, I work in a restaurant aswell. But what I do at home, depends on how I feel rather. I could just make simple things, and I could go all the way with food, in ways of even pre-preparing batches of homemade snacks. It's the thing that I love to do afterall.

Hello.
Right now I'm eating Hot-Dogs... and I've noticed that I'm way too lazy to eat them well prepared.
What do I mean with this?
That... where I live, we tend to eat Hot-Dogs as the following:
- We deep fry the sausages/weenies
- We grab a Hot-Dog bread, and we spread Mayo on each side. Some people spreads Mayo and Sour Cream on each side
- We put the Fried weenie and add chopped Tomatoes and Onions
- Top everything with Ketchup, Yellow Mustard and sometimes Chopped Jalapeños

Then I realized that, in some parts of the world, mainly USA they eat them with BOILED WEENIES and Mustard and Ketchup and that's it.
Like... WTF?
Not to judge them, but that's so weird.

How do you eat your Hot-Dogs?
I usually use ketchup, the fanciest mustard I can find, fried onions and shrimp salad. Don't know how common the last part is in other parts of the world, but here it's pretty common.
Occasionally I whip up some chilidogs (Coney Island style - mustard, raw onion and melted cheese), which is the best way IMO to eat cheap hotdogs, but kind of feels wasted on fancier sausages.

When you say you deep fry the hotdogs, do you mean like corn dogs? Are they breaded in some way? Seems like deep frying hotdogs without breading wouldn't do much, as they wouldn't absorb any of the fat.

I mean like, adding lots of oil in a frying pan, and once is super hot, you put the sausages there, twist'em every now and then until crisp, dark brown or 'till they burst.
just not boiled... why would anyone boil'em?
WHYYYYY?

Pizza... there's lots of pizzerias where I live, and we tend to eat them a lot, only when we dont feel like cooking anything at all.
Funny that buying 3 Jumbo pizzas costs around the same money than buying all the ingredients for a whole one day meal.
With 3 Jumbo pizzas we eat that night, the following morning, and that same night.
With home made meals we eat that night and the following morning.

Wieners are good boiled (they're designed for it after all), I prefer them over plain grilled/fried hotdogs. But I'll take a fancy grilled/fried sausage over either of them any day.

Actually I don't like wieners or whatever much ... I sometimes use german "bockwurst" but mostly if I eat meat it is Dutch Frikandel

broodjefrikandel2.jpg

Looks "special" if you don't know them right ?

Usually I cut them up in the middle and just add Chili Ketchup chili powder and curry powder, sometimes I add garlic

Sure they look special. I tend to not add that kind of imagery to my own food.
Garlic... love to eat garlic. Just not raw, too strong for me.
Just a bit roasted on the sides or until they're soft to chew and they're delicious.

Ah food, quite the delight and joy it is.
Makes my mouth watery just by reading all of those "tasty posts" here.
But i try my best to avoid food whenever i can I've gotten used to it.
Am currently on a strict diet hence i eat once a day only in small quantities.
My diet mainly consists od raw vegetables or fruits and generally something that doesn't pack much of calories and carbs/fat
Once a month i cheat on my diet only on sundays and then it gets back to the strict eat-once-a-day policy, routine repeats.
In a nutshell i only eat to keep up my body's demand for energy.
It's tough but i can make it.
Don't want to be putting any extra kilos.

I have at least 10 plus kilos, but barely noticeable as I'm 6" 2'
Well... at least on my legs and arms... butt, cheeks and belly tells a whole different story.

I remembered some ugly times.
Ten thousand years ago when I was in elementary school, in some kind of festival.
Lazy assholes were selling the "hot" dogs cold out of the package inside a bun.
"They are pasteurized" they said, "they do no harm"... but they taste like shit... argh... sorry, some PTSD childhood memories came back.
Sounds awful when they are sold at a festival they need to be cooked
