When using cleanrip, i get error mounting device [00000000]Hello.
If you do it with the USBLoaderGx please try CLEANRIP instead:
https://github.com/emukidid/cleanrip/releases
Please copy the Folder Cleanrip (INSIDE apps) on your SD Card into Folder "apps" and start it from the Homebrew Channel.
It creates an ISO file (you can choose USB device or SD Card) which has to be "reconverted" into WBFS with the WiiBackupManager:
http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/
It is a little more work but this method has 99,99 % success rate.If your Wii Drive is not "broken".
Good Luck.![]()
There are more possibilites:When using cleanrip, i get error mounting device [00000000]
was able to get cleanrip working on a usb stick; seems to be working great so far; Is there a way to trim down the file size after the rip? There are more possibilites:
- using SD Card - FAT32 can not use File Chunks greater then 4 GB
- using HDD (how is yours formatted please and how many partitions have it ?)
You can try to use smaller chunk file size (1024 recommended) or use an NTFS formatted USB HDD (recommended because your ISO is in ONE PIECE then).
This is meant only for RIPPING your Games.
Please try this.
Thank you.![]()
Good job.was able to get cleanrip working on a usb stick; seems to be working great so far; Is there a way to trim down the file size after the rip?
Now i have an almost totally unrelated problem, now usb loader gx crash dumps when it gets to loading resources; is there a way to fix that too?Good job.
That makes the WiiBackupManager for you then. You can decide,if it puts the complete or only the game "partition" from the Game disc to your HDD.
As you maybe know like from the Gamecube Games in most of the cases the DVD is not "full".And that work makes the WiiBackupManager for you.![]()

Hi, I now have the same problem and I followed every step I found here. But when I updated everything via ModMii, USB Loader GX didn't find my HDD anymore (wich worked perfectly fine before). So I took a step back and now it freezes again.
I also tried the solution with just waiting and rebooting the wii, but this doesn't work aswell.
CleanRip doesn't find my HDD at all, so it's not a solution.

Of course, here it is:

When I patched it via ModMii it stopped recognising the HDD all together (showing Loading HDD up to 20% on the loading screen of USB Loader GX, then going back to the home menu)
I already installed everything twice (once on my own with Letterbomb and when I ran in to this exact problem again I set everything back and started again with ModMii step-by-step).
Besides that I found out that some games get installed without a problem (f.e. cheggers party quiz), with some the "just wait a while" trick works fine (f.e. Create, New Super Mario Bros), and with others it doesnt work at all (f.e. Micky Epic, Rayman Rabbids Party Collection)

Hello again
wel at least the sysCheck is fine, so one thing crossed out.
Unfotunately I don't remember the cIOS[Base] Rev. Version I had on Slot 249/250. I didn't even think to check it (and I will put myself to shame like any good modder would)
Yes my USBLoader GX Version is indeed v3.0 r1272
And I would say of course, if I wouldn't know that this error often happens. But it is in Port 0, the one closer to the side/bottom. I tried the other one out of couriosity, but to no surprise, that didn't work out.
I changed the Setting, now it has IOS 249
The HDD
- GPT is initalized
- is formatted with FAT32 and NTFS
- has TWO partitions (Fat and NTFS)
+ was intern my old PC, used as an extern 1TB for a while
Thank you for your help![]()
