Hello,

@Clydefrosch :

Is your hack up to date? just like your Loader ??

In general, USB keys work poorly with Wii.
Some work, some do not.

It is better to use an external hard disk in FAT32.
Up to date in what way?
I know I didn't really touch the thing in 2 years, when I first set up usb loader.
At that time, I probably installed something with the wad manager? to make it work, but I'm always very fuzzy on this stuff on the wii to be honest.

I will look into this, though I'm now rather sure the root cause is the stick... the saves directory was entirely botchered when i just saw it, there's probably more file corruption going around causing issues.

I got a cheap ssd to try with next, then report back

yeah, the new drive seems to have done it, everything's running now. i guess the thumbstick must've been faulty in some way.

Hi guys, I’ve the latest versions of main loaders (CFG Loader, USB Loader, WiiFlow, Nintendont), YAWMM as wad manager and Bootmii as boot2 + Priiloader.

I’d like to install forwarders for my loaders, I’ve seen them in the loaders’ official pages on GitHub and in the related topics here, but really I don’t understand how to install them, mostly I don’t know what version install.

How can I install them? If I update the loaders I’ve to update even the forwarders or not? Thanx! :)

I tried all 4 loaders bu none of them opened my NTFS partition. There is no problem with FAT32 partition with the same disk though.

PS: My wii was hardmodded long time ago.

Thank you.:)

It has two partitions.

1st- FAT32 - MBR
2nd- NTFS - MBR (This is where games are located)

PS: It plays OK if I move games to the first partition.

Hello,

@dsixteen :

1) Given your syscheck report, your CIOS 249 is improperly installed, to fix it, follow this procedure ==>https://wii.guide/cios

and put it like this ==>
Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 56
Select cIOS slot: 249
Select cIOS version: 65535

2) then repost a new syscheck report, for control.

Hello,

@ dsixteen:

Syscheck report correct.

Custom Review:

It would be better to make only one partition on your external hard drive (FAT32 recommend).
You can put it all in NTFS ==> but you can put only wii games there.

Often those who put several partitions on their external hard drive, they often have problems to open their game. So you have to see.

Agreed, keep it to one partition for less headaches.

Best to format it as FAT32 with 32k clusters, unless it's a larger 6, 8 or 10TB hard drive which you'll need to then bump it up to 64k or more cluster size. No reason to use it as NTFS. If you have other stuff that needs to be on it just go out and spend $50 to $150 on a new hard drive. I recommend the Western Digital Passports or MyBooks.

And yes the drive NEEDS to be MBR, not GPT or you'll get nothing out of it.

What’s the benefit of configurable over Wii flow life?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Honestly if your going to emulate 200gbs worth of games, go for a flash drive that has a 256gb storage. Works really well and only 40$ at Walmart

Hello.:)

Every USBLoader has its advantages. To say "xxxx is the Best" is not really possible.

With time you will realize,if you want that every Game works,it is not the badest Idea you have all three on your SD Card.
The simplest and fastest Way to find out which one suits you is to try it out.:)

USBloaderGX
https://sourceforge.net/projects/usbloadergx/

WiiFlow Lite:
https://github.com/Fledge68/WiiFlow_Lite

Configurable USB Loader
https://wiidatabase.de/downloads/usb-und-disk-loader/configurable-usb-loader-mod/
(sorry only german site)

Thank you.:)

Thanks for the response! Honesty my question was maybe a bit rhetorical because I have tried many loaders but personally If anyone is using configurable, I would use that specifically to start off and understand the basics and testing to make sure your games work to begin with, but then move over to a platform of Wii flow Lite if you like sleek look, fully configurable to your liking. I kinda look at is as a fancy library for all your games to be viewed and links it together. Really idiot proof for those people who want to play.

If you mean the Configurable Options,I must say I do not have any experiences with it.
I use the r78.11 mod only if a game search does not really "persuade" to work.:)
(to see at startup which IOS is needed)

This Guide is maybe more helpful for this:
