yes, but it does not cost anything to answer with courtesy and not with sarcasm

It also does not cost to check the thread for dev replies, if there are none, there are no news. Courtesy will only take you so far.

Now, let's not de-rail this any longer, you've made your point and I've made mine.

Another 2 pages of people raging because some individual asked, that IS really annoying

Pipe down. The actual mods have asked before in this thread that people wait for news instead of repeat asking and end up offtopic, like we are.

Coincidentally, just as with your ability to ask, comes my ability to express frustration at people consistently asking when it's easy to check for an answer. It's "Let me google that for you" all over again.

I put up with you, you put up with me. Quid pro quo.

But where is the respect in the interaction for all the people that ask "I count be bothered to read or search" type questions? Or questions on the scale of "I know your emulation framework supports 50.000 games - has anyone tried my favorite one and can save me time?"?

Answer - there is none. There shouldnt be. The balance to strike imho is not to get too dismissive, and too cynical as a whole - but this forum currently isnt. So we are still fine.

If you sit on the "everyone should be helped pleasently, super supportingly and without voicing criticism" side of things - this is not how societies work. It really isnt. I don't know what you were tought in kindercarden - soliciting personal help requests from strangers, is not something that has high social value - or should ever get to have.

The reason that it has become this is only advertising econoy related (get best help here for free!). If you cant contribute - your value is zero. If you need "quick - someone do my research for me" support your value has become -1.

If you are asking a question thats on many peoples minds, your value can become 1, just for asking questions. Chances are - that you dont always fall in that category though.

That we have to talk about those things has to do with "no barrier of entry" - and us having answered some questions for 1000s of times literally. The personal "support me longtime" support approach doesnt work - as it doesnt scale - in the end you always end up with lower quality answers, and no one caring.

So its better - if people can be made to start to read, before posting personalized help requests. Always.

There is such a thing as a dumb question. On the internet there really is.

Here's the thing: I haven't visited these subforums in about a week. Not a long time in the real world, but on the Internet, especially in this community, I could have missed another Kosmos/Atmosphere/ReiNX/SXOS/CFW solution for the Switch in that period of time. The big breakthrough everyone I've heard about as of late at this point in time is emuNAND, which is fine for those who don't want to get a second Switch, but for yours truly, a second Switch was the only option at the time, and I just didn't want all of the money I had spent to go down the toilet. I remember writing a giant wall of text, as I have a bad tendency to do (I blame my actual, diagnosed Asperger's, and not the self-diagnosing BS that goes on in certain places on the Internet, and it certainly wasn't caused by vaccines, that's for sure! XD) explaining someone who was feeling like he had fallen behind on all of the new developments in this community, as I had felt a few months ago when I was busy with a bunch of college BS, what the best CFW solution was, and going into some of the other options available if I remember right. I know I went into depth on that Noob-friendly version of L4T that, if it wasn't for having to deal with Linux's general incompleteness in both main solutions in its implementation for the Switch, it'd be the best CFW in terms of sheer compatibility and emulation quality.

The difference here is that the thread is the hubpoint for David to usually give us news, when he comes here. Nowhere else for this specific fork of Reicast.

If you look at the previous posts instead of opening the thread and hitting the "Post" button, you'll see that there are no new replies at all, meaning no new progress. No need to ask an obvious question, with an obvious answer.

Of that I'm aware. What people should know is that, as of a week or two ago (whenever all that shit went down with skmp on r/emulation, with certain big name forums that reside on the edge of politics having some very colorful takes on the whole debacle), I was told by one of the posters on this thread that davidgf said that there wouldn't have been any updates with him being busy with RL stuff.

At the end of the day, it'll be done when it's done!

This is not a fork btw, everything is on upstream

I just wanted to say that I have played a great round of Wetrix and it is like a dream come true, what an AMAZING performance. Best way to play the game so far.
THANK YOU

He meant in the SWITCH OS, before you start the emulator or Homebrew Menu at all, hold R and select a Nintendo title from the Horizon OS.

This will trigger the Homebrew menu with more RAM allocated to the Homebrew, instead of the limited one you get from the album method.

i keep R click album but still have same error :/

needs button mapping to change some games that use D-Pad into left Joystik

looks very promising, wished for it to be in Retroarch but from reading all the drama, i doubt it will ever come:moogle:

We'll see about RA. I don't know that they're barred from porting over what work has been done (the cores has just been renamed to flycast and flycast-WindowsCE). But if this proves to be adequate enough once progress is made, it'd be fine enough in my books.

i saw the fork this morning but who is managing them, i just hope it gets Regular Updates, or someone makes a bounty so we pay to have it completed like N64 Dynaric Core

my wish list is:
Button Mapping
Read dreamcast hardware support for Controllers, VMU Cards, keyboards and light gun
a way to play light gun games on HDTV...its impossible....juding of how i play on PC wii mote setup:cry:

unlike how N64 emulating progress folded out this came right out of the gate emulating games to a satisfying digree, i am baffled as how a more advanced 128 bit console running better then on N64 emulators on switch

also anybody manage to play Virtua Tennis 2 / Tennnis 2K2 both Versions freeze during gameplay after 1 minute from running
is it my copy or is everyone having freezing during gameplay

I wonder if the Android version will be better once the Android for switch is released.

I don't know this for sure but I'm assuming you'll have to boot into Android which is what you have to do to get to Lakka and this is already better on Lakka right now.

Yeah i check this thread everyday for updates but sadly gbatemp community is kinda sharky everyone looks for opportunities to correct people or make some snarky remark its saddening...

I am interested in an up to date list of working titles as it seems this is what we have available to us at the moment in horizon...

We had one, now it's gone and I'm just wondering why.

Who put Dead on line 1 the first version of this came out last month it's not like it's been 1-2 years. If david didn't do it then a troll did it.
