Hey,

I bought the card version of Bloodstained a few minutes ago, but the game won't start without creating a Nintendo Account.

But I only use my Switch offline.

Is there a way to start the game without creating a Nintendo account?

Not possible unless you want to get a ban, you can use kefir to link a dummy account but chance of getting a ban is high.

You are assuming he is hacking the switch. There was no mention of this in the OP.

@Ochi if you don't hack your switch then just create yourself a nintendo account.

I hate those games where you have to create an account....

What if you don't have one and live somewhere you not have internet everywhere. It's crazy to buy a game on a card and you cannot use it. Even when this is described on the box.

Glad to hear there is a patch as workaround

If you don't have internet you're probably not living anywhere where you'd be able to buy a Switch. If you live in a 1st world country you always have some option for internet. Even if it's a mobile hotspot, or worse, dialup. Yes some places do still use dialup apparently.

these games that require a link account, once you have gone pass this check and new save has been made then you don't need the account anymore.

I made a dummy account on sxos emunand which is always in stealth mode and then backup the save with checkpoint after getting to the main screen. then restore it to a new account which i replaced the dummy account. and it loaded up fine. it did ask to link an account but i cancel it and it continue and got to the main screen. you have zero online access still but off-line content run fine

so people should create save files that are just pass the check so people can easy bypass this check in games

if he is running CFW then there is patched version out where you don't need to create an account

This.

Specifically, the v.1.0.1 update file has been patched to ignore the account requirement. Newer updates may or may not require an account again (until they're patched too)

mk11 i think no need link account. just play it with airplane mode..

once you have got pass the initial request and save file created you no longer need to have a link account unless there a change in latest patch. i ve used 1.0.4 and i know there later patch

About the dial up thing, I know there are like dial up wifi routers, but since the speed is so slow, I feel the connection would time out before you could connect to online, I could be wrong though.
