Well, installing any kind of NSPs is against the rules, which is clearly stated there.
The difference between you and others (I don't know who you mean, but I guess) probably was that others just mentioned facts, while you recommended someone to do something against the rules in this server.

Dont worry there are always asshole people that literally you can't make anything only be in the server like a ghost and that's it.

I haven't recommended. It was simple that someone was having a problem he want to install updates on lower firmware so I mentioned Goldleaf. And even I wrote "wouldn't be allowed to mention that here" to clear any intention of privacy. It was just a simple statement nothing else.

If the case is to ban people based on homebrew then they should put blacklisted apps not to be discussed on the channel


To clarify he wanted to update his games and he was running on a lower than 8.1.0

You have said "use goldleaf", which is a clear recommendation.
People are just immediately banned for that. For example, someone else told that he installed retroarch as nsp, complained that it didn't work, and also was instantly banned.

Again I have no intention for piracy talk I thought to be useful on the channel not sitting watching like more than 2000 members there

Anyway what has been done done but I just wanted to state "if anyone from the mods there watching" that I had no intention other than what mentioned.

Well, you might think that their rules are enforced in a too strict way, but it's how it is.

And you must admit that the typical "legal" way to transfer updates is over version match, while the typical "illegal" way is to install (update) nsps from some pirate site. So if you just say "use goldleaf", people will just assume you recommend that he gets the updates from some pirate site and installs it.
