A friend has done some pirate stuff on my 3ds in the past (i don't really like piracy). If the system ever got banned, I wouldn't really care. But if my dad's switch got banned as well because of this, I'd be devastated. They don't have the same account, but I've called Nintendo in regard to both devices, and I think they register their calls. Could they ban all the devices? Thanks!

I hacked and pirated some games on my 3DS and Wii U that are linked to the same account as my switch and I didn't get banned

But if I were banned on my 3ds, my switch would be safe?
I think so but it's almost impossible to get banned on the 3DS if you don't cheat online or play leaked games online before release or do other dumb stuff like that

I'm pretty sure the only purpouse of linking 3DS/Wii U accounts to a Switch is friend and fund migration (correct me if I'm wrong), so you can have a Nintendo account on the same email, but just delink the Nintendo network account from your switch. I own all 3, none of which have been banned even though they all have CFW, but I done this just as a precaution of a ban moving over, I think it'll help.

Thanks for your answer! My nintendo account has never been linked to my NNID. Would that make my switch safe? Because as I said earlier, I've called nintendo in regards to both the devices from the same number.

If that happens, Nintendo will ban the consoles. Not the accounts. I have some piracy stuff on my 3DS and a banned switch, but I can still buy games in the eshop for the switch, for example.

Any other info would also be highly appreciated. Thanks!

People who say they got "banned on 3ds" usually mean from multiplayer, which is completely unrelated to the eShop and NNIDs in general (which are optional, too)

And of course, a NNID is not directly a Nintendo Account either
