Going to put it here so I don't hijack that other thread: After updating via the updater (on o3DS) and attempting a manual update + deleting settings, GBARunner2 is stuck at white screens for me on the current version.

My SD card is already formatted correctly and I have bios.bin in the right place. I'm not sure what's up with it. I've been able to run older versions fine with the same setup, though I haven't tried in a long while since it corrupted my SD card a while ago.

Edit: Probably unrelated, but I also have a permission error when attempting to extract the latest version. See below:

Any point using this on a DSi or should I just stick with a flashcart?

Also, anyone know the max SD card size I can use on a DSi with this?

Hello.:)

I think TWiLight is maybe mainly used for the DSi users without a Flashcard.

Maximum Card Size WITH TWiLight is not confirmed by any user here. From what i have seen here 16-32 GB is the most commen size, has something to do with FAT32 "Windows limitations" because Windows and many tools format SD Cards bigger than 32GB automatically with exFat....(32 GB is for what I know the "official from Nintendo confirmed" maximun Size for the DSi,please correct me i if that is not right). But if you be so kind and have bigger SD Cards please test it and tell us the results.

Thank you.:)

I'm also very interested to know this. Anyone with an SD card larger than 32 GB that can test and advise? You can force a 32+ GB format from a Windows Powershell with the command format /FS:FAT32 X:

There is no real difference between SDHC and SDXC besides the mandatory default filesystem. Short test with a FAT32 formatted 128GB SDXC:

No problem here.

Normal DS games and DSiWare work just like with my main 8GB SD.

I just don't know what's the point. DS ROMs are not that big. All of my DS(i) games (about 50) fit onto the 8GB card.

Edit: Thanks @Sophie-bear for giving me a good thought-provoking impulse. When running TWiLight Menu++ on a 2/3DS bigger SDs do make sense because 3DS games are much bigger. Have been thinking almost exclusively about the DSi in the last few days.

Is it generally advisable to run DS games on O3DS in DS or DSi mode? I don’t use any DSiware apps/games AFAIK.

It doesn't really matter as DSi enhanced games need to be in ds mode. Sonic Classic Collection is only DSi Enhanced so that it can use the higher clockspeed, so for it, use ds mode and dsi clockspeed.

I’m asking because majority of my ROMs crash in Twilighmenu via CFW (they run perfectly fine via R4 but I like TWM more+it can soft reboot).

How do i set it autoboot to TWiLight Menu++, instead of Unlaunch?
What about autobooting to Slot-1, can it be done?

And how do i reset back to TWiLight Menu++, from both Slot-1 and anything loaded from TWiLight Menu++?

Hello. :)

TWiLight v8.3.0 marks for me an milestone.

- with direct boot in TWiLight in within seconds target accomplished - Flashcard speed
- after "bootstrapping a game" -it boots as said before - near Flashcard Speed.
- DSiWare works now PERFECT,found none that not works for me.
Thank you @Robz8 (can you program an SNES Emulator ? :P)
- GBARunner with the new UI great improvement.Every Games that works, works PERFECT.:yay:
Thank you @Gericom please keep it up !!

Sure, some Games did not work or have issues.
I think everyone is invited to do a work like TWiLight Menu and accomplish a 100% Game compatibility.

I love it since i "found" it last year ago.

Thank you for this great Application and its "Plug ins"

And respect to all from the "Team" who are involved in this project:

P.S. maybe @RocketRobz is the "Clark Kent" in TWiLight world ?:P

I believe the only advantage of running it using DSi rather than flashcart is DSi Mode, which isn't a huge plus right now. It does mean you could cut one piece of hardware though, and autoboot to it if you want to.

I'm not sure if DSiWare works via flashcart, though.

They do, but only if the app is being ran from the SD card, and the flashcard has to be compatible with being directly accessed, without launching the flashcard.

I notice this bug on my DSi and I don't know why. Let me tell you my story :) I use twilight menu++ from Sudokuhax because I don't like the idea of booting system from the SD card. When I update twilight menu++ to v8.2.2 I can't play NDS ROMs, there's a NDS-Bootstrap screen saying "please wait" for a while, but them is just a white screen and nothing more, there's isn't the 3DS loading animation, just a white screen. Trying to use old builds I have the same issue and with the last build I have the same problem. Some of you can help me with this case?? I'm using 3DS theme.

PD: sometimes I can play selecting the last NDS Rom from DS Menu

Tested black sigil in this last update and is running, any word on lufia or okamiden? Maybe pm a link? Don't really have a PC to patch them properly

I forgot to say that I was trying to play Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 but never load, that's why I update Twilight menu++, and as I said, from DS Menu Pokémon loads fine. Sorry if I wrote some words wrong, I speak Spanish and a little bit of English

You have to load the ROMs in DS mode (not DSi mode).
