Nintendo 3DS firmware update 11.10.0-43 released

Are you ready to give some extra unexpected stability to your console? That's right, Nintendo has just released a new system update for all 3DS models & regions! Firmware 11.10.0-43's changelog is exactly what you'd expect: "Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience". This means that, once again, the update only contains "under the hood" changes and no new features have been added. When it comes to hacking and homebrew, no vulnerabilities or CFW-breaking changes seems to have been made: as such, updating should be considered safe, but it's still recommended to wait until further confirmation before doing so.

This news thread will be kept up to date with any further info that may be useful to the end user.

UPDATE: CFW users can update safely. *hax payloads for older firmware versions are reported to be working on 11.10.0 for all regions except EUR. While they haven't been officially updated yet, an unofficial payload for EUR N3DS consoles can be found here (made by deadphoenix).

So... Web browser (again), and SpotPass for some reason? (They wouldn't be re-enabling SpotPass relays, would they..?)
Wouldn't it be something if someone discovered a vulnerability that allowed for the installation of arbitrary CIAs on stock firmware via some backdoor in the SpotPass service? That would be worth patching.

But it's kind of pointless to speculate.

Why it's 3ds 11.10 not 12.0, I don't know the reason, but my R4i gold 3ds plus still works:D
Because version numbers are not decimals.

And brand new versions (eg 11.x -> 12.x) are usually reserved for major updates/changes, while revisions (11.x -> 11.y) are left for smaller updates and bugfixes and similar.

Stability in yo face! Fear the stability!

Yup, I just booted my PS3 today, and found a new FW update 4.84? Does anyone know what has changed, if anything? I am holding off on updating as I use BSD (Bruteforce Save Data) and am afraid 4.84 breaks that usage. I may have to bite it and update as some of my PS3/PS4/Vita games have cross save support...
You can hack the ps3 on the latest firmware

SO weird. There is only one retail game left for the 3DS that we are aware of. If I was to guess they must have something planned to announce at E3. Why else would they bother?

Why?

so no cfw breaking stuff this time huh, think we won this war by now,but i wonder if some new banning measures were installed?
There is no war. Jesus.. They have to try and protect it because of investors, developes etc. Now it's a dying system so they can focus all on the Switch
