Actually I still religiously use it as a dedicated 8/16 bit emulation machine. If you throw in N64 VC and backwards compatibility with the GC it's the ultimate emulation machine.
What makes is so special do you ask me ? The Wii is capable to output 240p RGB signal. If you have a properly connected CRT TV, you can play all those games in their most natural form, 240p !! Even the emulated GBA looks better then I've ever seen. No input lag, no blocky graphics, and a multitude of controllers to enjoy your games in any way you prefer. Mine has the GC controller ports and I''m able to use an Arcade stick with most emulators.
Of course I can do all of those things on a PC, but nowadays is very, very difficult to connect a modern PC to a CRT TV without some expensive converter which by the way, is bound to introduce input lag no matter what.
I'm just so mad at Retroarch Wii for being so broken, always forgetting the settings, crushing, locking up........ Anyway, my Wii is the only retro console still hooked up and regularly used, although most Wii games look way better on Dolphin at 1080p/60fps of course

.
I'll be playing it for as long as the tube TV will survive !
