ROM Hack [Release] Ultimate GEN-MD Forwarder Maker for 3DS

Anyone?

I made a fake cia with this injector
I extracted it afterwards
I edited the retroarch config to look in "romfs:" for bios,
i edited the code.bin to load rom.cue instead of rom.bin
I added the bios, rom.cue and a sega cd game into the extractedromfs folder,
then i rebuilt it,
no matter what, i just get an arm11 crash.....
I downloaded someone else's sega cd inject and it works fine,
so i extracted that, and added my rom.cue and sega cd game then rebuilt,
and still an arm11 crash,,

Like wtf?

I dont see how other peoples injects will work on my 3ds, but the ones i make dont.

I'm sorry. I was busy because of exams. Within the next days I'll try yo focus on finishing all the remaining stuff with my injectors.

About your specific issue, I'll add Sega CD injection into my All-In-One injector (NSUI), which I'm releasing soon. As I said, right now I have the time to work for it.

Oh, i know you've been busy, no need to explain,
as i've used a lot of your programs, meaning i've also read alot of your posts/comments on any given thread.

Glad to hear you will be updating NSUI to include the missing forwarder injectors. At least Sega CD.

I actually logged on because I thought i had an idea as to why my injects wont work....

i may need a specific romset to use?
I have been using 'redump' sets at that 'library site'.

Meaning there are multiple bin files when you extract,
which i then use 'IsoBuster' to combine them into one bin file.
(looking at the cue file that isobuster generated for my newly combined single .bin file, it has 'REM session' in a couple places, and at the end of the cue file, it says 'some programs/software do not support REM sessions'

The thing is, if i obtain a game from redump, and combine the multiple bin files with IsoBuster, the resulting combined single .bin/cue works on the RetroArch cores on my 3DS.
Sega CD
PlayStation 1
PC Engine CD...

Dumb question, But does having retroarch install on my system conflict with the injects,

or

maybe it is your specific fork of retroarch you made that conflicts with these types of bin/cue,
and that i need to instead find a different set other than redump.

I will test this theory by using an already combined bin somewhere else and report back here editing this comment..

Any chance you were able to fix this problem? Because I'm getting the same results.

I made a fake CIA using a Genesis rom with the Gen Forwarder, then I extracted it. I edited retroarch config to look in "romfs:" as the system_directory. I edited code.bin to read rom.cue instead of rom.bin. I added the Sega CD bios (one I took from an extracted version of someone else's Sega CD CIA that I've tested and that works), the game's .bin, and the game's .cue (which I renamed to rom.cue).

Rebuilt it, installed it, but whenever I launch it I get an arm11 crash.

No, i never figured it out, its kind of baffling actually.

I think it has to do with the source of our bins/cue files,

I even took someone else's SEGA CD inject (that i installed and it worked)
and extracted it, and replaced it with my bin/cue, then rebuilt it and it crashed
i was like "what the actual eff??!!"
and almost threw my computer across the room. lel.

i spent hours/days on this..

But Asdolo said he was going to update his NSUI eventually, so we will have to wait until he does.

Until then, play the roms with picodrive emulator. (which i do)

i just wanted to figure this out because its literally laughing in my face and my arm isnt long enough to reach out and smack it in the face
(hypothetically of course )

Yeah, that's what I figured .. was just a bit frustrating to come so close to getting the CIA right only for it to fail at the last step.

Guess I'll just wait for the NSUI release. Thanks.

yo, i have a slight problem... or more like a BIG problem

You see ive turned the game Popful Mail to a CIA and then installed it with FBI, i actually kept the game for a little while because i was playing other games at the time, but when i actually wanted to play it it just crashed on me and was wondering if there is any way of actually fixing it... So...

I have an Old 3DS system version 11.13.0-45U. Hope that actually helps

How often does the game crash? does it crash at a specific point? does the crash occur on your original copy of the game?
