I dont understand how to use it so could you help me
Click the Open File button at the top and select the savefile you dumped with Checkpoint or your preferred savefile manager.
You will notice that the boxes fill up with some data that corresponds to your save, from there just edit the values as you like and click the checkmark (✓) button at the side of each box to confirm and apply the value.
Note that with the other buttons and Character Menu the value gets applied instantly.
Once you are finished editing, click the Save File button at the bottom and save it wherever you like to import it to your switch afterwards with your preferred save manager

Sure, I'll hit you up through PM when the next atmosphere for 7.0.0 gets released, I accidentally updated, so I have no other option but to just sit and wait for the next release to be able to dump my save.

Of course, there is always a risk involved in using the save editor, is it safe to unlock all characters and play online? Has anyone had any issues of getting band just from doing that?

excuse me. i tried using this earlier but even with the python 2.7 program, it keeps showing 0kb. do i have to do this by taking out my sd card manually instead of just using the way where you can simply connect to the sd card without rebooting??? here's the link to the method i'm using.

as far as i know, directly opening files from mtp doesnt work, you should copy the save to somewhere on your pc, edit it, save it and then copy it back to the sd through your preferred method

So it's been some time since last release and i figured i should give a status update about v2.0
Luckily i just happen to have some days off so i can fully focus on the editor.
As of now im finishing the Stat editor, which will allow editing almost every stat the game stores (Vault>Records>Stats to see ingame)

Ignore the stat values, they are like that for testing purposes

I know it looks ugly but thats a given with this project.


Also as soon as this and a few other little stuff is ready i'll start uploading some pre-releases for you to use while the rest of the stuff gets done (it's either that or waiting for eternity until i finish stuff :rofl2:)

v2.0 pre-releases will start periodically rolling out from now on!

You will notice that there are some new options lying around while others that were previously there are currently disabled. That's because I'm improving/fixing them and they aren't in a working state yet due to my lack of time.
Please keep in mind this is a pre-release and may have quite some issues and lack content. Reporting any bugs you find will help me greatly on improving this editor.

2.0-alpha1

Main Changes:

- Moved from Python 2 to Python 3
- Completely reworked the UI (now using PyQt 5)
- Windows users now get to use a single .exe file bundled with all the necessary stuff instead of a folder filled with files
- Added a Stats editor
- Added a button to change the savefile Language
- Added options to edit the amount of All Items
- Character Menu
now allows (un)locking all characters at once

Other:
- Some options are still unfinished or in the process of being rewritten thus they are disabled
- Things may be slightly buggy or just completely broken. Please report bugs if you find any

now that we have custom stages, would it be possible to extract them from a save and insert them into another?

edit: bruh stages are not encrypted at all and are located in the stage folder, nvm

Does version 1.2 work with version 3.0.2 of SSBU? can i use it to get some fighter spirits and the labo spirits? ive tried out alpha2.0 to give myself some sp and gold and that helped a ton, thank you so much for your efforts!

Everything should work on all versions of the game

We don't know for sure what exactly is safe and whats not. As is stands, Nintendo could flag any modification to the savefile for a ban.
With "edit carefully if you are going online" i meant to not change things in a way thats way too obvious, like 999999999 on all stats and stuff like that.
Although i can't guarantee that small changes won't flag you for banning, its the safest way to go. (By save editing and going online you are already taking a risk)
