@bylaws

When upgrading your ubuntu img using 'sudo apt upgrade', everything seems to upgrade normally except for this last part:

update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-4.9.109+

I'm unsure of the best settings for the Dolphin emulator and how to use the Joycons as controllers for the emulator. Ive got games booting but it seems they're abit laggy aswell..
Would someone be able to give me a hand?

When connecting a screen using a HDMI to DVI cable the image is pixelated and fuzzy. 5cm in the left part of the screen are OK, the rest is fuzzy and pixelated.
When docking the switch running Horizon OS, the display is fine.
I tried to deactivate HDMI sound (in case it would be mixed up with the image signal... no sound through DVI anyway) but I did not manage yet. (I guess it is not possible to blacklist the module responsible for hdmi sound as it is not separated from the kernel ?)
Changing the display mode using xrandr does not solve the problem.
Any idea ?

Try a few modes, maybe one will work

Give dmesg when plugging in

Well, nice job indeed.

I managed to sync the joy cons, but I can't move the pointer using the analogs as a mouse.

Does it just works for games?!

Thanks

Usually restarting the switch after installing the joy cons will all you to use them. Just re sync them through Bluetooth then press L +R on both joy cons and they should be operable

Do

sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-joystick

Then reboot and re sync the joycons

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P
