Anybody have goldtree 0.5 for me to download? All the latest are only goldtree 0.4 which aren't compatible with goldleaf 0.4 which means I have to take out my micro SD card and reinject just to add new programs...

I got this after running tinfoil, I can't get in without pressing Y to uninstall.. so later I tried to remove all the kosmos files and use atmosphere directly.. still got this msg again.. anyone know why,, or I might forget some kosmos files the second time!

I want to know what's the files that got removed by Y to uninstall?

youll need a modified hekate to make it work (atleast thats what i heard)

oh.. thanks I didn't notice this..

I'm using fusee-primary.bin not hekate and after I press Y to uninstall.. tinfoil seems working fine.. I just tried to remove the kosmos files I found left even after I let tinfoil uninstall kosmos and I add atmosphere only again to see if I get the error or not.. and I got it..

edit: nevermind, I made new atmosphere clean install and didn't get the error.. seems I might add some kosmos files the second try..

Atmosphere 0.89 states that it has support for 8.0.0, this may be a stupid question. But the files for the 8.0.1 update are currently available to download in various places. Does that mean that this version of Atmosphere works with 8.0.1 also?

I only ask because usually they hold off with releasing the firmware until CFQ works for it. Thanks!

8.0 and 8.0.1 are extremely similar so I can see why they didn't mention it supports 8.0.1 but for future reference, if anything states it works on firmware 8.0, it also works on firmware 8.0.1. So yes, Atmosphere supports firmware 8.0.1 as well.

one final question for now,
since its a XAW1002xxxx model its unpatched and ok regardless of the firmware version correct? what cfw would you recomend? i have a few games already and want to make sure i like it before i get to crazy into it. for today i just want to make a jig and test out before i venture farther. dump a game try it out maybe watch a movie?

RCMloader is to send payloads like cfw and other OS mods (for the more advanced seems)
SDcard is for homebrew and appstore stuff and of course all other data pertaining to the switch
the jig is to get in to rcm mode.
(i am a ediot, i know)

ReiNX is the easiest free CFW to setup and maintain while Atmosphere has more options but may not be intuitive to the user. There are 2 different ways of setting up Atmosphere, either with its intended bootloader Fusee or via Kosmos which packages Hekate as the bootloader plus homebrew applications and signature patches. SX OS is the only CFW you have to pay for and although they have some features that are exclusive to them such as .XCI file loading, HDD support, or EmuNAND, some of those features are being integrated into free CFW namely HDD support and EmuNAND making SX OS slowly irrelevant in the Switch scene.

RCMloader is a dongle that injects payloads as opposed to your computer or cell phone. SD card is where everything goes ranging from CFW to homebrew to backups. The jig is to enter RCM (the M in RCM stands for mode). AutoRCM can remove the need for a jig once its enabled because it "bricks" your console causing it to AUTOmatically enter RCM although it is reversible.

Can probably just use Tinfoil 1.55 if you want, Blawar removed support for Hekate/Kosmos users in Tinfoil 1.56 and forward due to a disagreement between Kosmos developer and himself.

Because you cannot apply ACID patches with Kosmos/Hekate meaning .XCI files installed with blawar's tool will never work so rather than deal with people who struggle to install .XCI files with a certain pack, just cut out support for the problem pack entirely. Or at least that is why I think he is doing it.

If you installed EmuNAND as hidden partition, you need to copy the hidden partition back too. If you installed EmuNAND as folder, you can simply copy and paste.

1) Backup clean SysNAND with Hekate before doing any modification.
2) Never connect your switch to the internet when you ran CFW on NAND. Only clean SysNAND is safe for online.
