Hello.:)

Can confirm had it an hour ago.

So sorry for the issue we’re having with add-ons right now!

We’re working hard to fix it and will keep you updated.

Also had this error myself. Re-installed Firefox, then I reinstalled my extensions.

Yes do it also. But was very confusing at first.:(

Reason:

Firefox: Expired certificate disables addons (May 4, 2019)

https://borncity.com/win/2019/05/04/firefox-expired-certificate-disables-addons-may-4-2019/

Error: Addons suddenly no longer usable
German blog reader Guido B. already contacted me this morning by mail and shared his observations (thanks for that):

I was badly surprised when I just opened my FF and saw my addons disabled. According to a message from FF my extensions are probably not compatible anymore? ?

FF Version: 66.0.3 (64-Bit)

My installed extensions: uBlock Origin ….

For some entries there is a message like this::

Skip Redirect CANNOT BE INSTALLED AND WAS NOT DEAKTIIVERT

Guido writes that he uninstall and reinstall Firefox. But that didn’t help. If he tries to download and install one of the addons e.g. uBlock Origin now, the message “Download failed. Please check your connection” occurs – see the red bar in the following (German) screenshot.

Odd. I had Firefox running in the background all this time, extensions de-activated, then re-activated all by themselves, without restarting the browser.

Eh...addons being automatically disabled is better than staying enabled or all of them automatically being enabled. It spares your PC's performance.

When it happened to me yesterday I Uninstalled icedragon (ff based) 3 times! First reinstall I installed the latest release. Didn't help, then 2nd and 3rd uninstalls I installed an older and older version. Still didn't help.
Tried several different ways to install my add-ons but each time it either said download failed check your connection. Then I went to github itself and manually downloaded. Then each time I went to manually install my add-ons, icedragon would block installation because add-ons were not verified.
So I finally went in and disabled signature verification and installed them.

Starting to think on using another browser. Mozilla doesn't let the user decide how will they use Firefox on their own machines, with all those extensions being disabled for not paying certificates (and arguing not being supported); when I got into FF 65, not even a single of my previously used and preferred extensions worked anymore. So all the shortcuts and personalizations got lost. That sucks!

Yes, addons got disabled too, so I decided to stick with an older version of FF, at least until I decide which browser will take its place (Chrome is not even on my candidates list).

Thank you Mozilla... ¬_¬
