Hello
So I recently upgrade the FW on my Switch using ChoiDujourNX to 7.0.1

Everything seems to work fine.

Only new problem I am noticing is that my batter is draining rather quickly.

After a full charge, when I turn on the switch I am at 47%.

Any suggestions?

Use Hekate 4.10.1 to auto recalibrate your battery percentage, also check your battery health inside hekate's console info-> battery info. If recalibrate doesn't solve your problem you might need to buy new battery.

Thanks. My battery life was excellent prior to the upgrade from 5.1.0
I will try your recommended approach and report back.

What CFW and do you use autoRCM?

I believe it might have something to do with the Auto-RCM turned on automatically.

Wondering if should turn it off (assuming it fixesthe battery drain issue) as I dont think I would have a need to go to a lower FW as most games would not work.

Thoughts?

I personally don't bother with autoRCM and never will. I immediately disable it after Choi'ing my Switch and have never had a single battery issue since day 1. Sleep mode is perfectly fine unless you're backpacking on a mountain in Ecuador or something and don't have access to a charger. I rarely ever have to jig mine and being able to play the latest games is my priority.

It seems like a lot of people like to 'deck out' their Switch by hacking it to oblivion. I personally take a minimalist approach to lessen the chances of problems arising.

AutoRCM literally cannot affect sleep mode.

Thanks. I'm just starting out so I'm just looking to play the Platform games.

I'm just looking to the community to warn me of any disadvantages by Disbalig Auto- Rcm as it does seem to burn some fuses and prevents a downgrade. I personally dont care but just trying to be cautious before doing it.

If you disable autorcm and boot into sysnand without a boot loader, you burn your fuse.

Well, I lose 3-4% during the night after the full charge in 7.0.1 (sleep mode).
EmuNand SX OS 2.6.1 and 2.6.2 with AutoRCM. In 6.2 EmuNand I lost 1-2% after a full charge during the night (sleep mode), so I don't know if something about the battery got worse or the CFW is the "problem".

Last edited by Chizko,
It's not Auto RCM. I'm on 7.0.1 and left mine on sleep mode for 3 days at 100%.

I turned it on today and it was only at 97%.
Even tought i notice some quicker battery drain if i i let my console in sleep mode there is no problem. Maybe i think it drains quickier because i now play games like crash or mortal kombat that make battery suffer xd.

I use SX OS and recently upgrade to 7.0.1 in offline mode. I also believe that the upgrade automatically engaged Auto-RCM

Thanks. I will try that. Any harm if I leave my switch in Sleep Mode for long periods of time? Also, Could you let me know if you shut off the switch and power back after an hour, does the battery % reduce drastically?

My guess, its emunand killing you battery faster. Just like it does on the 3DS

Any suggestions on how to lessen the battery drain?

My issue is that it drains when I power it off and then power it on a few hours later. No games are played yet. This morning I charged till 100% and switched it on around 5:30 PM and battery was at 44%. I dis not even play!

mm that's weird. You have auto rcm enable , dont you?

AutoRCM is not the issue here. Please stop talking about it. So long as the system is not powered *off* from SXOS, RCM won't drain battery as you will not be in an RCM state.

emuNAND does have a battery penalty and there is no way to avoid it. But the penalty is not substantial.

Probably a bad battery or bad SD card. One or the other.
