I have really strange issue. I folowed the guide, inserted payload (reinx.bin), and I see boot logo from reinx, then there is Nintendo Switch logo and .... black screen. I made backup nand and boot with hekate.
My Switch is 2.3.0. Could it be microsd card? (fat32 formated)

hi sorry this is old but i haven't updated mine yet, do I just copy the downloaded file to the switch and replace it?

Get the latest files from the guide. Make sure you remove reinx.bin from your sd and you are launching the new payload

step 1: delete ReiNX.bin (and maybe folder) from SD card
step 2: put contents of update on SD card (or at least verify you have all 4 kips in sysmodules)
step 3: run it if you still have problems then we'll talk

not sure if i did it correctly or not when i updated, it seemed like it had updated i got the new purple splash screen

i then went into the toolkit and hit update there just to make sure

i then updated to 7.0.1 using ChoiDojour

i know i have stuffed up something as i am getting package magic invalid error after updating to 7.0.1 and i have deleted the ReiNX.bin off root of my SD and i put the latest ReiNX.bin file on my r4s

but i cant power on standard firmware at all now and if i power on using my r4s i just get package magic invalid error.

tried again to just delete Reinx and sept folder from SD

copy the contents from Reinx 2.1 zip over to SD, deleted ReiNX.bin from root of sd

booted using r4s with the latest reinx.bin on the r4s still getting the error.

what should i try now?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

hmmm now abit weirder

tried those steps again and now the boot flash screen keeps switching from atmosphere sept screen and the new reinx purple flash screen.

followed the troubleshooting steps on the guide and used Hekate to get out of the boot loop and i assume reinx has updated as i have the purple boot logo and everything seems to be working on 7.0.1

i wonder what will happen next time i power off the switch am i going to have to inject using Hekate everytime now. not going to try it straight away as just glad to have working switch for now.

so i updated to reinx 2.1.1 a few weeks back and it fixed all my issues running 7.0.1 switch firmware with boot loops and everything is fine right now, but i just noticed there is now a 2.2 reinx with support for 8.0 and 8.0.1 is it worth upgrading my firmware on switch or should i wait till its recommended?

Got a strange one, I suspect it's a misplaced file on my card

I have an internal chip booting into argonNX, from there I have ReiNX, SX, Atmos, Hekate. All of the other 3 payloads load perfectly fine as intended.

However when I boot ReiNX I get the Rei splash screen, then sept and then Atmos splash and it boots into Atmosphere instead of ReiNX.

It has to be a misplaced file, is there anything that stands out ?

You can't dual boot with sept. So you need to choose atmo or reinx

I'm getting black screened here.
My son's mate tried to update some game I think, which resulted in the Switch powering off. When I now go into RCM and inject the payload (I'm on 2.1.1), I get a quick glimpse of the splash screen and then back to black again.
So can't currently boot the Switch... disaster and hellfire be upon me. Just at the start of the school holidays too.
What am I doing wrong? I'm definitely injecting the same bin file that's on my SD card. Switch had been functioning fine until this issue a day or so ago.
Mario, help me pls....

It's OK people, calm your hysteria, I got it sorted.
Switch had just updated to latest OFW, due to my son's mate's twattishness (and I guess mine and my son's twattishness too), so updating ReiNX to latest version got me booting again.
