With the sd card in, the health screen doesn't show. Instead, blinking blue on disc drive and blinking green and black on the power led. Without the sd card, the health screen appears.

You can try one thing:

- remove the Modmii folder (that one that XFlak recommended)
- put the SD Card in your Wii
- power on the Wii
- on the HEALTH SCREEN PRESS and HOLD "+" + "-" Button together and press A to continue
-
Can you reach the Service Mode from the Wii ?
Good luck.

Service mode? you must mean the "Maintenance Mode", which is accessed by pressing A on the H&S screen while holding down the + and - buttons on a Wii Remote, not by pressing A and B at the same time on the H&S screen.

It works! Thanks! Is there any way to boot it up without maintenance mode? If not, it's fine.

Shame on me,i´ve mistaken the Buttons.
I am sorry.:(

Congratulations.:)

I want to try the smash stack first because I don't have internet on my Wii. I realize it's easy, but I want to hold off for now. Thanks though!
Edit: If I homebrew, can I get the Wii to work like normal?

if you don't have a Wifi router, (or a modem with one built in) you can use the LAN ADAPTER!!!!

And yes, I did what XFlak recommended. Except, it doesn't boot, it blinks instead of just a health screen then a black screen.
If the behaviour is at all different when there's an SD card with bootmii on it, that's a good sign. I could be totally wrong about this, but I wonder if your tv isn't able to display whatever the video mode is set to when bootmii launches. This can be customized and changed in bootmii's config file.

TLDR. Maybe try different video modes in bootmii's config file. There's a bootmii configurator gui out there, even modmii classic has a basic interface to help u set it up, but if u read up you can even do it with a basic text editor.

Edit: wow I missed the entire second page of info when I wrote this. Great you can access maintenance mode!

User agreements don't work with maintenance mode, the online tutorial asks for that. My disc drive is broken (yay!) so now I'll try the bootmii configurator.

I got a bootmii configurator from https://gbatemp.net/threads/bootmii-configuration-editor.162137/ and I put it on an sd card, it doesn't work. In fact, it just ignored it.

I have a Wii U, and I was wondering if I could transfer the Wii's data to the Wii U. Normally I could use that transfer tool, but, that doesn't work because the shop channel has discontinued. And my Wii is, of course, bricked.

The transfer tool will still work.

Good, can I transfer data from the bricked Wii to another Wii?
Edit: I only want to transfer to that other Wii because it has the transfer tool.

Well, you'd need to Un-Brick it first. (I'd recommend replacing the disc drive too)
then, (I have NOT tested this yet!!!) use the transfer tool, get on the 2nd wii, hack it, (Letterbomb is easiest) then install a WAD of the Wii U's wii transfer tool, and continue the transfer.
