Seriously, im not trolling. But I was thinking about xash being released for the 3DS the moment I was opening this sub forum.

Thanks so much for all work man!!!!

Will be very interesting to try this!!
Seriously I was too! Thank you SO much for this port it's really excellent even in it's current state! I don't think the framerate is bad at all either. Especially considering how it ran on my P2 w/ a Riva TNT back in the day!

Which part isn't clear?

Create an empty .xml file, copy the contents of the code-box to it.
Place the .xml anywhere on your SD, navigate to and launch it with the HomebrewLauncher.

or..

I've included a .xml and .smdh with blue xash3d logo, made for blue shift, in the attached archive.
Copy the contents of the archive to: 'sdmc:/Xash3D/', and launch it with the HomebrewLauncher.
(.xml can be placed anywhere, for example: 'sdmc:/3DS/')

Most other mods probably don't work without porting/recompiling, like MasterFeizz already mentioned.

Thanks for this, I’m gonna install blueshift and the other two when I make it home

@MasterFeizz Had a few ideas for improving controls in later releases:

- Add another touchscreen button to the existing 4 at the top of the bottom screen: one for each weapon category. Maybe two more smaller buttons in each bottom corner as well to bind reloading/flashlight etc?
- Add a touch screen tap as an input, so you can bind jump to tapping, similar to MP: Hunters?
- Toggle crouch option

Thank you so much for your work on this! Performance on the N3DS is already great and I'm excited to see how this evolves.

I'm very new to homebrewing, and I managed to successfully homebrew my New 2DS XL with Jack Sorrell's tutorial. However, I have no idea how to add any applications to it. I extracted the uplink_data.zip file to the root of the SD card and is doesn't show up when I open the homebrew launcher. How do I fix this?

(Also, didn't you just open it straight from the home screen without going into the homebrew launcher? How?)
(I posted a screenshot of the contents of my 32GB microSD card.)

Thanks a ton!

This is the wrong thread for this but did you use 3ds.guide ? That should help you with everything else you're missing, including the ability to install apps onto the home menu.

You need to download the .3dsx file and place it in your 3ds folder

EDIT: I Was able to resolve this by clicking Use Defaults in the Controls menu

I'm able to run Half-Life but I can't seem to bind the controls as mentioned here:

Here are the default controls on a New Nintendo 3DS:

Circle Pad: Movement (Forward, Backward, Strafe Left, Strafe Right)

C-Stick: Mouse Free Look

D-Pad Up: Move Forward (Up Arrow)

D-Pad Down: Move Backward (Down Arrow)

D-Pad Left/Right: Mousewheel Down/Up (Change Weapons)

B: Jump (Space)

A: (Enter)

Y: Interact (E)

X: Flashlight (F)

ZL: Crouch (Ctrl)

ZR: Reload (R)

Start: (Escape)

Select: ??? (I cannot appear to bind this key to anything in the GUI)

R: Left Click - Fire Weapon (Mouse 1)

L: Right Click - Alt Fire (Mouse 2)

Is there a configuration I'm missing? Thanks in advance, I've never played Half-Life before and am new to homebrew, so pardon me if I missed something.

Hello. I downloaded the xash3d cia and did the instructions listed. I made a xash3d folder, got my valve folder and put it in there, and put the extras.pak file in the valve folder. I even deleted the listed .cfg files. But everytime I go to the new game menu, and press ANY game mode like easy or hard, it freezes. It happens to me on both the cia and 3dsx files. Im using a 2ds xl thats on firmware 11.9. I think i need help.

If it doesn't crash, then just try waiting. Loading times are pretty long.

So Steam sale is on... Blue Shift works with this according to a quick browse of this thread, what about Opposing Forces? Any change of Team Fortress in the future?
