SX OS 2.6 Beta released: full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x

From Team Xecuter:

This new 2.6 BETA of SX OS adds full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x, including ALL functionality you expect when using our product. We've been pioneering our own unique and proprietary solution for defeating any future firmware protection and we're quite happy with the results so far.

This release is marked as BETA because we changed things drastically under the hood to streamline future firmware updates and some things may inadvertently behave differently.

That does not mean it hasn't been vetted at all, so give it a shot today!

Of course, we haven't been sitting idly behind the scenes either. A lot of our development resources and attention has been dedicated to bringing SX OS to those "unhackable" switches. We are working hard to bring the SX OS experience to all of you who are stuck with an "unhackable" switch. Stay tuned for more news!

Does the usb support was broken for those who was working before
or it just still just work on a couple of specific hard disk like before ?

I had one drive that worked just fine before, and one that absolutely would not work with SXOS for some reason (tried formatting multiple ways and no luck). With the update the working one is down now too. I may try swapping out for the other one again and see if for some reason which one works had suddenly changed, but that seems unlikely

Sorry guys but what is sept and what is it need for?
Sept-primary is a package1ldr reimplementation and sept-secondary is a encrypted and signed payload used for key derivation on 7.0.0+. Sept is used for 7.0.0+ support on both Atmosphere and ReiNX (and possibly SXOS)
Official Documentation: https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/blob/master/docs/components/fusee/sept.md

Edit: And the point of Sept is to be able to have 7.0.0+ support without needing to include the keys or burn an exploit
Nothing at all.
Incorrect. Read above

That person asked what Sept does, and you said nothing, which is FACTUALLY incorrect

Whether its used by SXOS or not doesn't matter, it FACTUALLY has a use

Sept does have a use it boots 7.0
So a expl0it wont be burned or keys wont be leaked

In simple terms sept boots 7.0 without burning a exploit or leaking keys

Some folks earlier in the thread were having trouble with it.

I think one user updated theirs from 6.2 to 7.0.1 and they couldn't boot it with the latest release.
Right here can confirm hidden partition doesn’t work if your on 6.2 and want to use this. I’m going to stay on 6.2 emunand with 2.5.3 stable

I keep reading NO USB LOADING, does SX OS 2.6 (on 7.0.1) support installing NSP's from USB hard drive though?

I booted SX os 2.6 on version 6.2.0 and it can still see my USB connected drive and install NSP's to microSD from USB hard drive, want to know before updating to 7.0.1.

Thank You guys, so we have to wait for hexkyz to decrypt .dat to confirm if it's included.
