After receiving some help from noob paradise, I thought I would open this thread to get help solving some questions.

My switch crashed after my brother tried to upgrade to same software to play ssbu. When trying to resend the payload for reinx it gave a magic 2 error which some have told me is due to not deleting and then replacing the files, but I hadn't updated for a long time. I also tried using atmosphere with no luck. I checked the system in hekate and found that my fuses we're safe and the firmware was still 6.2.

I decided to restore my nand which was for 4.1, but first I took the save files that are in the system folder in the nand using hacdiskmount and also saved a system.bin. restoring the nand went smooth and everything was fine to reimplementing except for some hiccups with SD formatting since my exfat update was gone.

Now when I tried to put the save information back into the system folder of the nand I had already updated back to 6.2. This caused the same errors I got before with reinx and atmosphere.

If anybody knows what causes this it would be enlightening to know a solution. Otherwise I guess I might have to start all my games from the beginning.

Hum...Either you need to tool to dig through your System saved file
Or you could upgrade to ver 6.2 first then try restoring your system file

I updated to 6.2 first to make sure the save files wouldn't have an issue but also there were 3 accounts before it crashed and my clean nand only had one.

Can checkpoint find my saves in my save files I took from system.bin? If so I can inject saves one at a time and see which ones cause issues.

For Checkpoint to work you have to boot successfully to your system first which apparently you can't if you restore your system file right? If so, I'd say you need a way to extract your saves with a tool from the computer.
But someone more knowledgeable might have another suggestion.

It doesn't boot cfw when I put the saves back in through hacdiskmount mount, from the sound of it I can use checkpoint to put in my saves so I'll try for a little while

Is your problem anything like mine? (https://gbatemp.net/threads/backup-restore-problem.521596) If it fits the bill, then some of the replies I got might help the progress. I just haven't gotten any replies for months after constantly asking for help on a certain part. My thread probably just keeps get overshadowed by a whole bunch of other ones.

The problem is that Checkpoint, as a homebrew, can only extract saves from Horizon. So your saves would need to be on the system first.
