Team-Xecuter has updated their SX Installer app, check out the changes below:
While our SX OS team is hard at work on our upcoming update supporting Nintendo's 7.0.x firmware, the SX Installer team is happy to bring you another update adding some of the most requests features we received from users by email.
  • increased single-threaded install speed.
  • added option for multi-threaded network install to increase install speed.
  • fixed memory issue with tiny game icon diplay.
  • fixed slow boot time when retroarch has a large collection of thumbnails.
  • more responsive UI menus.
  • added support for the new "SX Server" to easily install NSP's from a windows PC over the network or through direct USB connection.
  • General UI enhancements.
SX Server v1.1 is a separate download for advanced users (Windows PC is required).

instead of needing piece of software to share out the nsps why not just use SMB? then any os that supports SMB will work. Wiixplorer has smb support and you can load dolts off the smb.

Good to know TX is spending their time efficiently making sure SX Installer is up-to-date and not on getting their CFW working on 7.X

totally different people / groups working on each thing.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

At the risk of going off-topic, this translates to "I spent at least $45 for stuff that you STILL CAN'T do for free and was enoying backups for months before the free CFW came out"

I fixed that for you.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Please don't turn this thread into another sx shitstorm

I love how when the list of SX OS features which aren't available in CFW are listed, the OP posts the above. For the people who wanted to pay to use SX OS it's their choice. For the people who want to use free CFW - it's your choice. Why does it have to turn into a religious debate every time CFW is mentioned? Can the zealots please Just enjoy what you have / can afford and shut the fuck up. More people will like you that way.

I was thinking about attaching /s to the post but clearly most people got the joke without it.

I fixed that for you.
Fixed what? You converted my honest statement into a blatant lie. We have had backup launching before SX OS came out and if LayeredFS didn't tickle your fancy, we only had to wait one more month afterwards for ReiNX to allow backup launching with less steps. Not to mention most of the stuff we can do for free: .XCI files, cheats, and USB support. I'll admit, I give points for EmuNAND since this means that no matter when Atmosphere implements it, they will still always be known as the CFW that implemented it after SX OS which is quite funny.

No one did that but people who can't take one lick of criticism for a CFW. The first page is half full of shitposts because most of us know the jokes already. Heck, we do that with the other CFW like Atmosphere and June 15th or ReiNX and weaboos yet those don't turn into 20 page-long threads because those users know better. If one person says something even remotely negative about SX OS, SX users feel like we just insulted their entire reason for existence or something. If you can't understand that, then TX took more than just your money and you should request a refund.

The same old vehement CFW comments, are not a joke or a meme anymore. They would have to be funny to be so. The horse is dead, we all know the horse is dead, yet there are still the usual suspects those that continue to defile the horse and then publically bray about it.

My apologies for getting the timeline incorrect, I was certain SX OS had allowed backups before any of the free CFWs since SciresM is so anti-piracy.

But it's not just one person is it? It's the same old group of shitposters *every* *fucking* *thread*. I have them blocked but anyone who replies is then quoting their anti SX OS crap so I still end up reading it. If the same happened with people making Atmosphere comments, or anti ReiNX comments - EVERY SINGLE MENTION then I'm sure those users would respond in like minds.

As for some of the anti SX OS commentators sour grapes I feel it's still because either they don't have the money to buy a licence (but they have a $300 console, plus memory cards and other accessories.. hmmm) or more likely they don't want to spend the money (because backups should be free). That is their choice, the same as some people decided to pay for the conveniences that SX OS provided to them.

Sure there are NOW easier and free alternative CFW - but even then it's still a serious wade through so much shit talk on here to find nuggets of actual information, rather than opinions and bullshit - much like if you were to watch Fox news, but with less actual information.

Its silly to advocate to people to pay for something to use something they also have to pay for.
Do you realize how stupid you sound? How old are you, 8? Like you don't have to pay for map updates on GPS units without an LTM designation, or to add other maps. Or for any non-freeware software on your computer, or *GASPS* GAMES to play on your Switch? Well, dang... I should get new tires for my car from the dealer for free! I already payed for the car!

No free solution does everything TX does. Not yet. You clearly don't belong in any TX thread, so do us all a favor and refrain from your useless comments. If users could be banned from a thread without being banned from the whole forum, I'm sure you'd be one of the first.

:blink::wtf:
"blatant lie"... I don't think that means what you think it means :rofl2:

I pretty much agree with everything you said. All I can say is either grow some thicker skin or dab on them haters.

I don't know about you but if I'm hacking a console, my goal is to spend as little money as possible. If I wanted to spend money, I'd just buy the games since that is what a lot of people's goal is when it comes to CFW. Emulation is great but who buys a new console expecting to emulate older games on it especially. For the Switch in particular, everyone recommends a jig but I was adamant at using a paperclip. If not for AutoRCM, I probably would have bought one and told everyone else the same advice. Unfortunately, I had to get a USB-C cable but it wasn't too expensive.

So you mean to tell me that backup launching was exclusive to SX OS for months? Or that .XCI files are not supported by other CFW? Or that we can only use cheats with SX OS? Also the user admitted I was right so I believe I wasn't wrong in anything I stated.

Did I ever say anything close to that? Go ahead and look. I'll wait.

No?

Ok, I'm saying SX STILL, this very moment, has features that free solutions don't have. You said, that's a blatant lie... after giving them cred for emunand... something that no other solution has.

Seriously, you need to stop posting in SX threads. You bring zero to the table.

Every time I update to the newest version of sx installer, my Switch will crash with an error when I open the app right after. After rebooting the switch, it runs fine until I update sx installer again. Could this be because I'm using exfat on my internal microsd card?

My guess is they're waiting for a firmware that actually has games people want to play before showing their hand to Nintendo. There's nothing that requires 7.0/7.1.
