Hi, I recently got myself my friend's old Wii U. He doesnt have much space and as such was happy to give it to me. However, he also recently broke his Gamepad. I would like to know what games are playable and the alike. Thank you for your time.

That depends on what you have that isn't a gamepad.

That stupid console >:( today I was trying to do a lot of stuff with a brand new I got... I was NOT possible to set up a Wii U without a GamePad… we need something to make the Wii U usable without the GP.

It was designed to be used with that gamepad.

Unless you've already hacked it, you can't do a thing without it.

Ive been able to play SSB4 on it along with 3D World. I just want to know what I can do. What games I can get. Etc, etc.

If you have the Wii U Pro Controller or a Wii Remote (and its accessories, such as the Wii Nunchuk and Classic Controller) you should be able to play the following:
  • Bayonetta 1 & 2 (Both)
  • Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Both; Also playable with GC controllers w/ the GC Adapter [Only Wii U game that's compatible with it])
  • New Super Mario Bros. U & New Super Luigi U (Both; must update the game before it allows you to use a Pro Controller)
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (Pro Controller)
  • Mario Party 10 (1 Wii Remote per player, mandatory to play the normal mode/main stages; Bowser mode can't be played without the Gamepad. I'm not sure if any of the main mode's minigames require the Gamepad itself...)
  • Mario Kart 8 (Both)
  • Super Mario 3D World (Both)
  • Dr. Luigi (Both)
  • Hyrule Warriors (Both)
  • The Wonderful 101 (Both)
  • Nintendo Land (Both; certain minigames/modes are restricted to the Gamepad)
  • Pikmin 3 (Both)
  • Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Both)
  • Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Both)
There's more games that are compatible with both controller schemes out there. Just look up their manuals or website listings and you should be able to find more info about the ones you're interested in.
