I installed CFW today for the first time.

In the Menu it says (AWS 0.8.3) on side of the OFW so I assume it was succsessful but when I open the Album the HBL is not opening.

Any advice?

Correct. Is your SD card formatted as exFAT? Its possible the SD card is corrupted which is preventing the sleep mode library from working which you can easily fix with a reformat.

I'll try this later if you really think that could be the culprit, but tbh, one of my SD Card is exfat formatted, while the other one is fat32 and I've tried both. I highly doubt this is SD Card related.

The exfat issue is super frustrating. I have to download games to a an exfat micro SD to chop up the nsp then copy it to my non exfat SD then install it in parts.

Is there any progress either from Nintendo or other homebred devs to fixing the exfat corruption issues?

I don't have access to a pc so downloading from my phone is only way.

Also the sticky only goes up to 5.0.2 was updated last july.

no, because of reasons

if it were to work you would need some kind of interface to differentiate between drives (internal and external) and select them

too bad about the list, but most games require a lower firm than 5.x. Worst case scenario you launch a game and it doesnt work (you should always install with ignore required firmware checked), so you just update to 6.2 (which is what you should do anyway, no point staying below that)

guys when i went to the hekate menu and looked at auto rcm it says that it will corrupt my boot0 or boot1
is autorcm safe? i mean i really want to use it else my rail would get spoilt by using that dam paper clip i bent

Also, i tried to install an update for mario odyssey and it kinda stopped at 98% making it corrupt
had to install it again twice so what did i do wrong there?

Backup your boot files before you install autoRCM. AutoRCM make changes to your boot files, so there’s a warning.
Sometimes there are issues when installing .nsp files. Try it again. If it still doesn’t work, get the update from somewhere different.

I went into the backup section and backup all 4 of the files (2 of them were like 29 gb), so i think ill try autorcm

as for the update ill try downloading from a different source. also, i read somewhere that there is a region thing for updates is that true?

Yeah i think so. Also heard that there are regions for updates.

Well you could make a backup of 7.0 and restore old backup and boot files. Than boot with hekate in OFW and check which firmware it is. If you have burned fuses to 7.0 you always need to boot in OFW with an custom boot loader after you restored to lower firmware.

yep, if the fuse count is 9 then they've been burnt for 7.0.x

You can’t boot normally to SysNAND anymore. You still can boot to SysNAND but only through hekate or sx os.

you mean i can't boot to sysnand normally permantly ? is there no way around to fix it in the future ?

i booted into hekate, now im doing backup of boot 0/1 and rawnand.bin

i also checked my fuses i have 9 fuse burnt
