I'm getting the error code C2-12848-3 when I try to downgrade from 3.68 to 3.65... What does this error mean and how do I fix it?
Have you downloaded and placed the firmware in correct folder?I renamed the tai folders in both locations and I did restart and I do not have an adapter just the Sony ps vita memory card
Ok i see you said you have tai folders in both locations, you should only have one in ur0 otherwise i think it may cause errors. You should check both folders and transfer any necessary plugins from ux0 to ur0 and note down their path and location in config.txt file in ux0 as well. Add noted paths to correct locations in config.txt in ur0. Once done delete tai folder in ux0, and follow steps to downgrade. If this does not fix your issue it may be your downloaded firmware is bad try redownloading.I've downloaded the firmware and placed it in the right folder cause the downgader works up until it supposed to start the update part.....

Hope this helps!
No problem, and possibly, try renaming them to something without tai in it like folder1 and folder2, that may help. I have yet to test it on my 3.68 vita, I'm downgrading today after work though, I'll post here how it goes. Thanks for the help I'll be trying again tonight but I thought of something else in the meantime, I had renamed the tai folders to tai1 and tai2 could this be the problem?

Any chance of you posting a pic of what one is the full one? I thought it was the 3rd one out of the 3 in the archive but I might be wrongSome things to check first as the instructions mention:
The last thing you should check is if your Vita can actually be downgraded to 3.60/3.65. The modoru.vpk tells you what is the factory firmware of your Vita, and if its higher than the target firmware that you want you won't be able to downgrade. For example, if modoru tells you that your Vita's factory firmware is 3.67, you won't be able to downgrade to 3.60/3.65 from 3.68 as the factory firmware is higher than your target firmware.
- Battery at 50% at least (should be full to avoid any issues)
- No plugins enabled (easily done by renaming your tai folder to something else using Vitashell)
- IMCUnlock disabled
- The PSP2UPDATE.PUP file you download MUST be the full version one (check the files and pick the correct one; I think this may be your issue, as the update (downgrade, that is) only works with the full file)
- You SHOULD have installed modoru BEFORE copying the PSP2UPDATE.PUP file, or the update file gets removed (slim chance of this happening unless you messed and forgot this bit)
Sadly, there is no solution for this other than to buy another Vita or replace your board with another one downgrade-able; the eventual 3.69/3.70 exploits will only give you h-encore, but won't make your Vita downgrade-able to get Enso.

It's the one with the largest size as it's a full update.Any chance of you posting a pic of what one is the full one? I thought it was the 3rd one out of the 3 in the archive but I might be wrong

It may be. I know a lot of people state that FTP works perfectly, but I've encountered at least 2 issues while transferring files using FTP (one of them deleted some other files from the memory card somehow), while I've had zero issues using the USB option from Vitashell, and I've used it a lot on the 4 Vitas I have (2 Phat, 1 Slim and 1 PSTV) with a lot of games, DLCs, ROMs and the like that I've dumped myself on Vita memory cards, SD2VITA and the 1TB HDD for my PSTV.Also what's the recommended way to transfer the update to the vita? I was trying ftp but I'm starting to wonder if that's part of the problem....

That's pretty much the place "to go" to for old Vita firmwares besides private collections that someone could share. It seems that neither the 3.65 or the 3.60 firmware that I downloaded from the darthsternie site work for me..... I'm not sure where else to go for the firmware.... Could you possibly point me in the right direction? Or is that against the rules too?

That's really weird, then.It says that the factory version is 1.61 so I'm totally at a loss....

The gro0 partition can't be deleted as it's the read-only partition from the game card (or SD2VITA which shouldn't be used while downgrading anyway).I noticed that gro0 has an update in it too. It might be a case of conflicting updates.... Not sure how to remove the gro0 one though.... As you saw on my github post I have to run it anyway or I can't run the downgrader....
