Chinese New Year maybe here, but Xecuter does not take holidays, so they are back again with yet another update!
SXAPP14.jpg

To help ring in the Year of the Pig, here is a Happy New Update, this time for their SX Installer App, with v1.4 bringing with it New Features for you to enjoy trying out on your modded Nintendo Switch console, during the Spring Holiday Festival. :)
SX Installer is back with another update!

Now available in V1.4, it adds several features including support for homebrew install and auto update.
  • Added paging of game icons for large collections to lower memory consumption.
  • Added support for Retroarch ROM icons.
  • Added support for SFTP and FTPS.
  • Added "Homebrew Store" for downloading, installing, and updating SX recommended homebrew applications, including SX Installer itself.
  • Ability to dump updates and DLC's to NSP from XCI titles.
  • General UI enhancements.
That's all for today. Stay tuned!

Maybe they "bought" their space by entering with prizes in the raffle, or became GBATemp supporters?
Who cares? They have a few posts, sure, it doesn't harm anyone.

If they support running the 'Temp, I'm okay with it.

If they earned respect with money alone, they wouldn't be respectable at all. Think of loving your partner just because they're rich. (un)Fortunately, they did a bit more than just throw money at people.

no he wouldn't because he wouldn't want to use anything with stolen code.
No? I stopped using it because:
1. I don't need the features any more. I used it with XCIs when XCIs where the only usable format. I used it with NSPs when SX OS was the only CFW which could install them. But with NSPs on any CFW and FTP installers, I don't need those features anymore.
2. It had late theme support. (was a big deal for me as I made some my self and still use them)
3. It had late 6.2.0 support. (because you know...)
4. No kips.
5. Probably what stopped me the most is that they can't focking credit anyone. How hard can it be? I gave them my money because it was very promising and the only option back then. Now it's just: copy a bit of code here, paste it there, say that we did it and done (they have their own stuff obviously, but not much). But I won't support them anymore (e.g. by using their product).

Because that would require them to actually admit that they are using community code and may even reveal how much of the community code they are using. They are a leech on the community, they aren't looking to give back to the community, they are only looking to leech off of the community.

Or you can use TInfoil by blawar, which has FTP support (that's the one TX got for themselves now, so the free version won't get ever update cause of them).

Do you say that because it is the same process or because you don't want me to use nsinstaller? I would like to stick to nsinstaller. Thanks for the answer.
I'd say probably because you haven't stated what CFW you have so advising installers which work on ever CFW is logical in that case.

Another of your reasons to stop using it was probably that now you dedicated your life to post in TX/SX OS threads, you simply just don't have any time to actually use the Switch.

Did you even read the article?

Sidenote, this applies to multiple companies like EA, Sony, Microsoft, Activison, etc. I'm sure you've never bought anything from those companies either, right?

Sure, what TX does is scummy. But posting on here and yelling "DON'T USE SXOS" at the top of your lungs won't convince anyone otherwise who wasn't already going to avoid it.

If you like SX OS and don't care about free license crap, awesome! Use it! If you're morally offended by SX OS and don't want to use it, that's cool too! Just stop forcing your opinion on everyone who dares utter the word of the devil - "SX".

They're obviously making money from it and no amount of posting on here/discord/social media is going to make a difference. Calm down.

EDIT: SX really needs to add kips though. This is basic stuff that literally every CFW including the one they based SX OS on has built-in. Come on.
