True fear is the piano from Mario 64 but okay then
That and those screams of the zombies from the n64 zelda's. The piano really comes at you from nowhere though.. Sure it's boo's mansion but, man.. For some reason nintendo put some terrifying stuff in their games supposedly made for children back in those days.

I actually started having dragon nightmares in which I was always trying to hide from them after using the Dragon Combat Overhaul mod for Skyrim. Had to run away from those bastards every time until I was in my mid-30s and had good Fire.Frost resistance. Especially since I set them to spawn up to three at a time and sometimes call for reinforcements. Had some pretty epic fights, though, so the nightmares were worth it.

Meh, I beat THAT LEVEL in Battletoads, yes almost all versions minus Gameboy, this is nothing.
Bullshit you did, tool assisted? Cheat codes? There's only a handful of people that can beat that game and they're all the idiot savant type.

Great comic, i agree with this guy that the battle toads pause music is more jarring than guardians.

Now to check out my window.

The Sega Genesis version is easier. And the Arcade while hard, can just be beaten by more tokens.

And with the Nes one I did beat that level then keep losing after it. That may give you an idea of how many times I played that particular level.

I have a Master System and I had a few games were memorisation and exploits was basically the only way to beat the games. And even then I have games I couldn't beat until I played them on an emulator.

Plus when you only have a few games, no Internet, and you are on your on in the Summer with no beach, you end playing a lot.

I beat Airman on Megaman 2; and I figured that one the first few time I played Megaman Willy Wars on the Sega Genesis, meaning some of the tricks for the Nes version of Megaman 2 didn't work.

Granted it did take me three energy tanks to beat Airman, so yes he is quite hard. But I also just spammed him with the regular weapon.

And let not me even start with a few old DOS games I had that required more timing than Dragon Lance...
