Hacking Question Is it a bad idea to send my Switch to Nintendo for repairs?

I've got a problem with my Switch where half of the time, the Joycon don't connect on either side of my Switch. Before you ask, YES it's the console's problem, not the controllers. I wanted to send it in to Nintendo but I was worried that they might patch it. I'm not too experienced with the homebrew scene so I don't really know if it's a good idea. Can anyone help me?

1)If console have ban = no warranty
2)if side connector damaged = no warranty
3)if nin service just replacing bad part your console not be patching, but if service just swap it you get patch unit
4)you can try replacing bad part, its not hard

Just buy a joycon rail off ebay or amazon or wherever. Super easy to replace

They can't patch systems that have already left the factory. Nintendo would have to send back a different system for it to be patched (fwiw they usually do this)

Would they even service a hacked console?

They had tools during the wii era that would scan a console and determine if it had been hacked.
Even if the problem was unrelated to the console's issue, they would refuse to service the console.

I sent my console in, unhacked, for repairs last October. I got refurbished unit back, but the worst part is that my saves were all lost.

it's not as if I was going to hack it anyway, but I would prefer a working system as opposed to a hacked one.
