Hi! Yesterday I tried to install CFW on my 2DS and everything worked, except my conscience. I don’t want to blame anyone here or say it’s wrong using CFW to be able to play games you don’t own or anything like that. It’s just I don’t want to do this and I also don’t want to be banned for using homebrew app etc.

So, I decided to uninstall the CFW and everything worked this time too, but I noticed that there is still the Japanese Flipnote on my 2DS when I try to start the DS Download Play. And I want to get rid of this and anything else, to have a normal 2DS.
I used the Frogminer method (//:https jisagi.github.io/FrogminerGuide/) to install CFW and this method to uninstall CFW (//:https 3ds.hacks.guide/uninstall-cfw). My 2DS is currently on Ver. 11.9.0-42E.
I also formatted my system, because I noticed in the eShop that I could download games that I had installed with FBI. After formatting I couldn’t download these games anymore as I wanted it.
I still have the backups of my SD cards with one backup before I tried to install CFW and one backup after I installed CFW. And I also have my old FC + ID0 and the old Brutefroce FC.

Is it possible that I can uninstall and delete all modification in order to have a “normal” 2DS?

Btw I also had to "edit" the links in order to post this now, but I guess anyone will know how to """"decode""""" it haha

If you removed B9S and formatted your 3DS, then you're probably good to go.

It should also be noted that you're highly unlikely to get banned if you use Rosalina for all of your homebrew.

I used GodMod9 to uninstall CFW, does this also mean I have removed B9S?

Congratulations. Because you panicked and reformatted, you will have to fully rehack the system to get rid of flipnote inside dlp.

This is why the guide recommends not uninstalling cfw.
Do you know if it's still possible do that with the same method I did before? Because at first, I tried a video guide based on the guide I posted here, and he said that the DS Download Play App has to be normal to hack a 3DS using Frogminer.

He just means DS functionality has to work. Some 2/3DSes apparently have broken DS functionality for unknown reasons. Shouldn't matter that Flipnote is still there.

You might just be able to run flipnote if it's still installed and reinstall b9s.
Just put boot.nds on the sd root and launch DS download play after launching 3ds download play.
Make sure boot.firm is still there too (luma 3ds).

After that, install a DS dlp cia with FBI.

...then don't? Pirated games aren't the main reason CFW was created, it's simply a side effect of allowing you to dump your own carts to CIA and letting you install your own dumps.
I also don’t want to be banned for using homebrew app etc.
Don't cheat in online games or run pirated games if you don't want to get banned. I've used homebrew online quite a bit since I hacked my system and it's still not banned.

You have to restore your DLP backup, which is normally done after installing cfw but can probably be done with plain homebrew.
"Once completed, you can launch Frogtool from Homebrew Launcher and select "RESTORE clean DS Download Play" to restore Download Play functionality"

While following the guide, I was stuck at Japanese Flipnote; the display was all white without switching to b9sTool. Heck with it, I reckoned, and formatted the console and decided to start from scratch.

But after formatting, I didn't have to start from scratch, because Flipnote step worked this time and I was able to finish the whole process.

The trouble is, I'm not able to restore "fredtool_output\output\clean\42383841.bin" (System Settings -> Data Management -> DSiWare -> microSD Card, there is 1 item with a question mark and "0" as the block size); copying it results in "This software cannot be copied". I suspect this is because I formatted the console, so the file from the previous state is no longer valid.

Is there way to remove Flipnote and restore the console's original "Nintendo DS Connections"?

Tried unmodding my 2ds system and broke the DS features I feel the struggle
Though this is not really related to this thread: You might be able to restore the DS(i)-mode with the non-CFW version of TWLFix.
Else: Reinstall B9S with ntrboot and try fixing the DS(i)-mode afterwards.

I was able to restore the original "Nintendo DS Connections" (i.e. replace Japanese Flipnote) by going through the BannerBomb3 method once more from the start until I reached the step that generates "fredtool_output.zip", which contains both the "clean" version and "hax" version. I put the "clean" version to the SD card and installed it to the console. Thanks everyone for taking time to share your suggestions.
