So for some reason the program is stopping with scanning of the entire folder when it meets an XCI it doesnt like. Out of 520 files it didn't like 5 XCI for some reason.

Anyway how about this?

http://prntscr.com/m0d6jo

This shows a game which claims version V65536 but then goes to say latest version is V0?
Whut?

your version list is outdated. that game should have v65536 as latest version
Open options and check the last update time
I'm assuming you don't have the certificate so you downloaded the list from the backup site, that hasn't been updated for a while

Yes I don't know how to do all that.
So how often does this list get updated?

when I want to :rofl2:
lol sorry I'll update it in couple of days. was on a vacation for the past week and haven't got the chance to update the list

or if you're on reswitched discord, go to #versionlist-updates channel and download the json file from there, then rename it to versionlist.json

just updated my answer, and no worries ^_^
Ooh nice! this the place where you can get one consistently? naise..
However.. when I replaced the JSON called versionlist.json with the one from discord (2KB size difference old one was 75 KB new one 77 KB)

It still shows the game(and others) as "version 0" after restarting switch backup manager.

I'll check that once I get home and let you know the result

@Chrisssj2 it looks like that game (and some more others maybe) is indeed missing from the list, and there's nothing we can do about it

a little more details, nintendo has at least 2 servers to host version information
there's the old one, tagaya server, which only requires console certificate (even banned one might still work) but with a little drawback that it has no DLC version information, and apparently some games are also missing. this is the one we use
and there's also the new one, superfly server, which has complete version info but also requires edge token and afaik high chance of certificate ban if not executed properly. that's the main reason why we didn't use this

I see thats a shame. So from what I can see it's only 5 games not so bad. But I hope it wont be alot of games in future ^^
Mr shifty
Sina Mora EX
World of Goo
88 heroes 98 heroes
NBA playgrounds

I suppose 0 Version and 0 latest mean no update has ever been released for that game and "version 0" and "latest V ****" Means that it didnt have an update before but it has one now.
I think I understand the app mostly now
However one more thing to note, when I press Scrap extended info from web it will scan for 15 minutes or longer for all my files. and I see info popping up.
Then suddenly it is done and all the info I saw popping up is gone 0_o
Because I checked mid process and it looked like it had most of the info.
Then suddenly 5 minutes later everything gone, that was scraped from extended info.. just empty boxes like as I started.

If I update an individual game it seems to stay but.. idk. updating 500 files individual, only to run the risk of it losing everything again for some reason..?

Thank you for checking btw.

would be helpful if you provide more detailed info
for example, is monster boy among the converted games you mentioned later on or there are 2 different issues here (1. issue with new xci scene releases and one of them is monster boy, and 2. completely unrelated issue with xci converted to nsp games)
also the log file

I just added my new games to the switch backup manager today 50 of them were recognised. 10 of them were not. even redownloaded and reconverted them. nothing.
Monster boy is working for me by the way.

here is my log https://pastebin.com/Kz48qYWX

Looks like this is the error:

2018-12-29 10:33:29.316
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.FileSystemEnumerableIterator`1.CommonInit()
at System.IO.FileSystemEnumerableIterator`1..ctor(String path, String originalUserPath, String searchPattern, SearchOption searchOption, SearchResultHandler`1 resultHandler, Boolean checkHost)
at System.IO.Directory.GetFiles(String path, String searchPattern)
at Switch_Backup_Manager.Util.GetFileData(String filepath)
at Switch_Backup_Manager.Util.AddFiles(String[] files, String fileType)

can you narrow it down to what games causing the error?
if there's a game with small file size it would be much preferred

Not working for me. But the game does work in SX OS fine.
It is nsp to XCI converted yes. with tool of Julesontheroad. "NSCB"
that might be the cause
I recall someone reported some issues with XCI created by NSC Builder, but since I don't have any so I never try it myself

Sorry I somehow made a mistake lol! I double checked everything. that game i showed you is actually recognised like you said.

(it was a naming issue in the search function File name is lazy galaxy rebel story) But the game is listed as rebel story. if you type lazy you wont get it to show.

Here are some new examples if you care to try.
Sega Genesis Classics 44 mb
Horizon Shift 165 mb
Uncanny Valley 224mb
Hyper vector raid 316 mb

I have no idea why the file size different from you (sega genesis classics is 1GB so I only try with the updates) but they all work
