Could this tool be modified to:
  1. See a connected USB hard drive and install XCI files from there?
  2. Install xc0, xc1, etc split XCI files from Switch Backup Manager/XCI Cutter?
Thanks

Wrong FW maybe (wrong master key).
What are you trying to install and what FW are u on?
Xenoverse 2 DLC on 3.0.0, I didn't see the DLC needing a higher fw version on that list of required firmwares (XV2 itself needs 2.1.0)

EDIT: The version of tinfoil from the app store crashes on start if that helps, I'm on Atmosphere 0.8.2

Not sure about that list but since that DLC came out late I don't think it'll work on 3.0.0
May I ask why you don't just update using ChoiDujourNX (to prevent fuse burning) and enjoy 6.2 and all games?

I was waiting for Thermosphere to release, but I don't mind using ChoiDujour

EDIT: Apparently I can't use my card slot when going from 3.0.0 to 6.2.0 and I have an XV2 cart so I'll just wait for Thermosphere

Okay sounds like a valid reason. :P
You could dump your XV2 cart before you update though and either run it with SX OS or install it after you converted it to a NSP.

you very much can use your card slot if you don't enable nogc.
it just wouldn't be working if you downgrade to 3.0.0 again if you do that.
that said, there's not much reason to do so.
and even if that coldboot tetherless cfw loading ever comes, you'll likely use it to load an up to date emunand or something, so you dont really need it working in 3.0.0 anyways

Assuming sig patches and the correct keys, does this still work in 6.2? Looking to update probably when the Smash DLC arrives.

Genuinely surprised to see development hault entirely on this project. Sure, it started out as a fusion of other existing brews, but with a little added work this could easily be an AIO Game Manager competitor to Blawar's DZ/Hijacked Tinfoil. Which, is without a doubt, MILES ahead of anything else atm, and has more or less earned it's right to the tinfoil branding it's adopted. However, n1dus having the ability to convert .xci to .nsp and vice versa, as well as install .nsps while relinquishing the .nsp data as the ncas are installed, preventing the need for 2x free space for any game installed locally, Plus a more intuitive and practical GUI filesystem. Literally adding network transfer/install features and protocols for meta-data scraping for aesthetics and organizational improvements would put this homebrew ahead of the race.

Seems a shame to let it collect dust as-is...... just saying. ;p

In any case, kudos on what you have done thus far.

Hi, I am on Atmosphere, and 6.2 firmware, will it work in this set-up?
And if yes, do I need to copy all the content of micro sd exfat to pc, reformat exfat to fat32, and copy back the content to micro sd?
Merry Christmas;)

You don't necessarily need to be on FAT32 but it's highly recommended so yes, that's how it works and yes, n1dus is still working on 6.2.0.

By the way @All:
I've cloned the untouched repo and added a compiled NRO to the release page so it stays up forever:
https://github.com/lordelan/n1dus/releases

The NRO can be downloaded from switchbrew appstore as well.

it's not for atmo0.8.4, but for 7.x, which apparently uses a new SD access method. USB install should work.
n1dus project is dead and will likely never be updated, unless someone want to fork/update it the same way other install tools will be updated.

edit:
I checked current forks, only 2 have updates, and they concern the NSP file splitter only. no code update to the installer.
