My sd card is full and instead of buying another expensive one I was thinking of buying SX OS for the USB hard drive support. Does it matter if it's USB 3.0 or 2.0? I have a hard drive but it needs an enclosure so I want to make sure and buy the right one on Ebay.

Reinx now has USB HDD support (although buggy). So you shouldn't need to buy SX OS for it.

I dont see USB HDD support in ReiNX code on github.

For the Switch it doesn't matter usb 2 or 3. But I imagine you would use it for your PC and there usb 3 can be a huge performance boost.

Ok I'm going to answer exactly what you ask. You can use a USB 3.0 or 2.0, doesnt matter because right know the Nintendo Switch only have USB 2.0 speeds enables.

Is better if you use a self power HDD. Make sure you buy one with a external power supply. The reason of this is because the Nintendo Switch doesnt supplies enough power and you can easily burn your USB ports.

usbfs is USB HDD for reference

I looked at the code, it's all stubbed. The usb hdd support is non existent

How you can even claim partially supported is beyond me
So you're claiming the changelogs are lying? usbfs is USB HDD support straight from TX.

You're interpreting the changelog incorrectly. Or rather the changelog is expressly misleading in this regard.

The changelogs state "partial implementation". A stub is technically a partial implementation in a very loose meaning of the word.

Anyone who can read code will backup what I am saying.
