... using a paperclip. BAD IDEA in my experiance as it made the pin connecions to loose aftera while to make contact with the joycon so it never registered when in hand held mode or made connection sounds when attatching it and removing it from the switch. i honestly can say I am fearful of a jig doing the same over time.

Personnally, I don't even use a jig. I just chose to mod my right joycon from day one. What could be safer than the joycon to enter RCM? It's just basically a switch, not a "permanently bridged pins" mod, so undetectable by the firmware in normal use. And after I load CFW, no need to remove a jig and re-insert the joycon, it's already in place.

I bought a second right joycon and bent the pins, and only use it to get into rcm when needed(manually updating without burning fuses before choi)

Ordered a jig and payload dongle on ebay for $10 that should be here within the next week

Used this to check the serial off a switch at my local walmart yesterday, was the only one behind the glass with a visble cerial number. standard blue red joycon set (no bundle) serial was XAW100611XXXXX firmware is 4.1.0. Ordered a jig and payload dongle on ebay for $10 that should be here within the next week so i can tell if i need to go back to walmart and swap it or not. I should according to most gathered data be in the clear though...right?

XAW7003000X and above definitely patched
