So I've only just noticed that apparently I wasn't using my Nvidia GPU, but an integrated Intel HD one. I've tried looking for the config menu where I can select what GPU I want to use, but I couldn't find it, so I opened GeForce Experience and noticed the driver wasn't installed.
I've tried installing it, but GE seemed dead. I've tried looking up the driver manually and using the separate installer, and I'm met with this:

I'm confused af. I did select Windows 10 x64, so there shouldn't be a problem with the OS, but why isn't it detecting the card? Device Manager also has these:

Windows can't find drivers for either device. I'm really confused.

The GPU in question is an Nvidia GeForce 940M.

You're using an NVIDIA Optimus laptop for this, right? The whole integrated-with-dedicated setup sounds like something a laptop would use.

What does your Display Adapters section in Device Manager look like? Is only the Integrated GPU listed there?

940M is an integrated chip for laptops yes

You need to install the Intel Drivers first, before you can install the NVIDIA ones. Also check the BIOS, there is usually an option to use just the NVIDIA GPU.

I'm admittedly not overly familiar with GPU naming schemes, so I must've missed that. What do you say on the matter, though?

NVIDIA chips with the M are always mobile GPU's. It looks like he's missing both drivers and needs to install the Intel ones first and then the NVIDIA ones second. Go to the website of the laptop manufacturer to get the drivers.
