Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Needs to be installed or reinstalled
Uninstall it from programs and features / installed programs restart pc
Reinstall it .. download > https://www.microsoft.com/en-pk/download/details.aspx?id=48145
restart after reinstall
Run Tegra, and as admin
Then install the update If it does not work after reinstall of 2015

The error is produced due to visual c++
You may need to uninstall all visual c++ restart pc then install visual c++ again. and or just the update.

Have you tried both the portable and the installer ?
I cant see it making a difference tho .

then if it does not load ,
install the update https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3118401/update-for-universal-c-runtime-in-windows
And if that does not work then im afraid we cant help you.. as its a error with you windows and not tegra...

try the portable version of tegra, or the installer... do you have Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 installed ?
try without your antivirus running for a moment does it load ?
Did you ever figure out a fix? I can launch payloads fine within a Terminal window in Mac, or else directly from my Android phone using Rekado. But no dice within Windows in Parallels on a Macbook. Same issue as you, where it detects the device in RCM mode and appears to successfully send a payload, but the Switch doesn't respond.

What's the payload you want to inject ?
You can use TegraRcmSmash.exe with command line to get more logs.

Welp, despite the latest version saying "RC=-50" bug should be fixed, at last " I now have this error on the installable version, even though I never had it on any previous version. It doesn't really matter since the portable version works just fine.
What's great is that I didn't realize that the portable version had the ReiNX payload as a favorite by default, so I just thought "hey cool it kept my favorite" which was hekate 4.2 (stupid me for thinking that), I ran the default payload a bit too quickly, and now my gamecard reader has been updated since ReiNX has the great idea of not disabling it by default if you don't have any ReiNX files on your SD... I mean that's my fault for clicking too quickly but why would you put as a default the one payload that autoboots even without any related files on your SD and updates your cartridge reader ? After months of being super careful about it, systematically adding "kip1patch=nogc" to every possible boot option, RIP future cartridge exploits if they only work before 4.0 I guess... I'm gonna take a shower and clean all this salt away.
