We don’t know, probably no, But the only person who know that is the president of Nintendo and col.

I don't know enough about SX OS's implementation of EmuNand to say whether or not it's detectable.

But the point is to keep your SysNand running stock, and only use your CFW/NSPs/Homebrew stuff on your EmuNand and keep it offline (or if you must you can put it online and block access to Nintendo's servers).

EmuNand should be kept on a microSD card that you can take out. That way, when you boot up your Switch in Stock mode Nintendo has no way of telling that you've been using EmuNand. I've got my "clean" NAND backup ready, I'm waiting for Atmosphere's implementation, not necessarily because I'm a cheapskate that won't buy SX OS, but because I trust open source groups a lot more than Team Xecuter.

No disrespect but sxos is worth it! Yes they steal code but again they code things there self, there own xci loader and emunand is worth what 20$!
No if you want home brew only then it’s not worth it but for what you want it’s worth the money..

No, SX OS isn't worth it, it should be free
It's better to wait for Atomosphere to support EmuNand than paying $35 just for a emunand

You don't pay just for emunand. XCI loading is another further step on avoiding getting banned compared to installing NSP files. Oh and emunand is worthless regarding bans.

What's your logic for saying EmuNand is worthless for bans?

If I keep my stock nand clean, and only use legit cartridges or eShop purchases online, and then use emuNand for everything else, how is Nintendo going to ban me?
It's only worthless if you're trying to play pirated games online with it or if your console is already banned.

If you use emu correct and it runs completely independent of system nand from what sxos are trying to do then it’s worth it!
But yea sticking just to xci decrees the risk of a ban allot.

Well obviously it's possible if sx os can do it. But if you're asking if there are any free options for it then the answer right now is no. That may change in the future.

The same exact Cert is used and shared on both NANDs, so you wont be avoiding any bans soon just by using emuNAND.

Perhaps with the SX implementation, but who knows, Atmosphere may allow you to inject a donor cert.

But even without that sort of functionality, the point is to keep emuNand offline. Nintendo has actually done a halfway decent job with their security this time around, there's no point in even trying to play online with pirated games, it's only going to get you banned sooner or later, potentially later if you're using XCIs with private certs.

You can't use a donor cert on Switch. And even if you could. Do you seriously belive someone would share a cert with people only to get it banned instantly? Lol

Perhaps not now, but I don't see why a CFW wouldn't be able to do that in the future. And it would cause a scenario similar to what we had with the 3DS, there would be a market for private certs that were grabbed from either a broken Switch or a Switch that somebody doesn't care about playing online with.

Also, for me the point isn't to be able to play pirated games online, but to cloak your GOOD cert so you can go online with CFW and not worry about getting banned. You could cloak it to use someone's already banned cert instead, and all Nintendo would see is an already banned Switch, your actual cert would be safe.

dude you are dreaming out of this world, the 3ds era Nintendo and now are like comparing Mr Satan and Vegeta

Good grief, I swear nobody actually bothers to read and contemplate what I've said in this thread. If CFW can do things like cloak how many fuses we've burned, and redirect error logs and telemetry the way that creport does, I don't think that swapping out the console cert is out of the question. I know we can't change the actual onboard cert, but cloaking it the same way we do things like MAC Address cloaking or 3DS private seeds should be possible.

If Team Xecuter could figure out how to get emuNand working on the Switch, it's only a matter of time before Atmosphere and other CFWs support it. And yes, emuNand can and is already being used to avoid bans. No, nobody is trying to claim that it can magically "unban" your Switch, and no, there's no fool-proof solution for playing pirated games online and avoiding being banned. But if you keep your sysNand clean and strictly keep your CFW usage to emuNand, and also keep your emuNand offline, you can successfully avoid being banned and not worry about Nintendo finding out about your hacks while in stock sysNand playing online.
