the client has included an obfuscator, which is causing the antivirus to detect it. We are working so that it does not happen again in future updates. Very soon there will be a new update solving this problem.

It is also a false positive, You can use without problems.

you cloned an open source project, one that is may i remind you GPLv3 - https://github.com/spacemeowx2/switch-lan-play/blob/master/LICENSE.txt. anyone provided a binary should be able to access source code. why on earth are you trying to obfuscate stuff as a homebrew project?

There's a binary for their GUI within a zip file directly within their Git repository which includes an unmodified switch-lan-play binary (with no source code) -- https://github.com/RetroGamer74/SuperLanPlay_MacOSX

It's an incredibly bizarre method of distribution to say the least.

There's seemingly also no authentication system in place for their (probably unmodified) switch-lan-play server despite the site being locked behind Discord authentication.

The client of Super lan play is not created based on the LanPlay source code, it is created entirely new and own, to facilitate the use of lan-play.exe In addition to adding user interface and other utilities. The Super Lan Play client, download the file lan-play.exe from the official LanPlay repository and then execute in background the necessary parameters to make lan-play.exe work, what we do is automatically obtain your correct interface and so it only reduces to the "Connect" button and makes it easier for the user to connect to the Super Lan Play server.

The parameter generated by the SuperLanPlay client is an example:
"lan-play.exe --relay-server-addr lanplay.retrogamer.tech:11451 --fake-internet --netif \Device\NPF_{7E3C9D23-51B5-4011-9508-9F33871AC087}"
and then the client runs it in background.


If you wish, you can access the super lan play server using the usual form "lan-play.exe --relay-server-addr lanplay.retrogamer.tech:11451".

I also want to clarify that there is a new update that is no longer detected as Virus the client.

Hey Sonnydq, could you please explain the +email scope on the oauth, that isn't a normal thing included in the base, before you've said it was included in the base.

Currently Smash doesn't have LAN mode and we don't know if it will receive one.
Four now only hope is custom kip.

How do you set-up your switch ? If I try to set this up as my wireless connection like someone mentioned, I can't save my settings because it requires SSID. If I go to wired connection and enter all the info provided it won't connect, do I enter the proxy as lanplay.retrogamer.tech:11451 or not ? With or without it though it doesn't connect. Are you even supposed to be able to detect this as an internet connection in switch ? Because I can connect with the app.

You must place the data of your WIFI connection in the SSID and password.

then you must enter the http://lanboard.retrogamer.tech/ and login.
connect with the client and update the lanboard to verify it is connected.

You can do whatever you want as long as you put correct network settings.
And remember, device that has client running has to be wired to the router.

The device that is running the client is my main PC which is connected to the router through an ethernet cable.

This is what I did an it keeps saying : "Unable to connect to the network".

1)Go to the site, obviously authorizing discord on the way.
2)Go to the settings section where my info is displayed.
3)Connect Switch to my router using ethernet to usb 3.0 adapter.
4)Go to settings, set everything up just as it's shown in the setting page on the website and Save.
5)Open the app and click "connect"
6)Try to perform a test connection on switch and it says "Unable to connect to network".

The thing that I'm wondering is this, since this does not connect to Nintendo servers, should the connection test even pass ?I don't have currently a game that has LAN mode.

The application itself does not require installation, so deleting is enough to "uninstall" it, however the app installs a driver(if you were missing it) npcap, which is not harmful, but you can uninstall through add or remove programs.
