Hacking Is there any significant telemetry data in a save file?

I wanna transfer my smash save from my hacked switch to my clean one but I don't wanna risk anyrhjan by doing that, is there anything that would get me banned in a save?

How would you even transfer the save? The second you boot in CFW and go online without restoring a clean NAND, you're flagged.

If your CFW Switch isn't banned you could have done a console to console transfer, I did this on 6.0.0. Cleaned up all tickets from non-legit games, and save data with DevMenu. Hower doing this now would require 6.2.0 so that's a no go until CFWs support it.

Won't work because save data is stored on the console, not SD.

You could possibly add it into a nand backup with hactool or a hex editor, but you'd need to know what you're doing. That's the only possible way I could see, but not 100% sure

You can't backup a NAND from a switch to another switch, that's not how it works.

the clean switch's nand. not the unclean switch's. Essentially backing up a clean nand, to manually add saves into, then to restore. I know nands are system specific lol

i wouldnt wanna take the risk, id rather just have to do all over.

actually follow up question, IF i were to actually backup clean NAND,add saves and restore, is any info saved from using sx to create NAND from RCM mode? and as a further question can i even do that?

I'd just use hekate for this and only hekate. Backup the nand, add your saves, then restore nand with hekate (you should back up all the files listed, but only editing the nand should be necessary)

So my new question becomes, is there any data in the save file that would imply that it didn't originate on that switch? Also if I pm you could you help me through it? Not a big hakate user.

One final question and I promise I'm done,how clean is hakate? I would prefer not to have 2 banned switches if possible

hekate boots in rcm outside horizon the switches os. As long as you back up and restore your clean nand properly you should be fine. I've never heard of anybody getting a ban from proper use of hekate. Also if you ever update make another backup each time (currently 6.2 is being worked on for support as many know.

If you used save from pirated game, so your hacked Switch will be flagged.

If you use offline homebrew only with creport, no piracy so it is less likely to be flagged.

*shrugs* good luck and many people got banned for using pirated and backup games.

It isn't my word... just found out from ban report. If you want to downplay, so go for it, I'm not into privacy, anyway.

There's been cases of people being banned just for restoring saves from a banned Switch, this guy was banned AFTER 3 MONTHS. So they probably just added some new detection/save analysis that exposed that it's a save from a different Switch:

So my switch got banned from Splatoon 2 online for, according to the email, hacking online. The problem is, the last time I "hacked" the switch I use for online play was 3 months ago, to restore the save data of Splatoon from my banned switch, yet I got banned today. I haven't done any online hacks (which aren't possible as far as I know?) and don't know what could've caused this. Any ideas on what to do or what could have caused it?
