Hardware Just got a switch, can't get into rcm

I get the black screen when holding plus volume and power, so I assume I'm in. But I'm unable to use the kekate payload on TegraRCM. It says no TegraRCM devices found. I have a Type C to Type A 3.0 cable. Not sure what's wrong.

New ones are patched, you need an older Switch. what you are describing sounds an aweful lot like how the patched consoles behave, which is to ignore the payload.

I knew about that and bought one at a pawn shop XAW1003 which should be hackable.

Unless the person who owned it before sent it to Nintendo and got it repaired.

I do notice that I may not have 3.0 usb ports on my computer. (it's not blue) could that be why?

If it is it is, but since I know the model number should be hackable I'm going to exhaust every possibility.

Well this is an unpatched console there's a tutorial on team-xecuter that I just did and it proved it.

It's either the method I was using (tinfoil, which I know is not the best) or something with the usb cable. Bought a jig on Ebay and will try that.

Using TegraRCMGui it says "waiting for device in RCM mode." and won't let me even attempt to try the payload. I'm thinking it's an usb issue.

Just tried it again and it worked, I"m on hekate.. Must of been the tinfoil actually. So happy right now.
