I updated Retroarch today and before that I only had one NES core (Nestopia) and switching between games just loaded them without getting an option to chose core... Now however I get the option, and even if I chose the core that is already loaded the core gets reloaded.

Is there an option for this that I'm missing? I tested some things like removing the other NES cores and the RetroArch forwarder but even if I start Nestopia from the home menu and then chose a game it has to reload the core.

Is PCSX Rearmed broken on 1.7.5? Mine just doesn't work, everytime I try to boot up Megaman X4 it kicks me back to Home Menu or crash my console.

Didn't tested other cores, but everytime that happens my retroarch.cfg also breaks everything, preventing me from using it with some sort of audio profile issue.

You installed all of the core .cias right?

yup, and no matter what i do i have the same problem, still i'm more interested on fixing it on 3dsx, i tried the .cias when i had the error via rosalina
And the entire Retroarch folder is there on the root of the SD? You'll get an error if it isn't.

yes yes it is there, as i said i had the error when i update it from 1.7.1, before that i was using the 3dsx versions without any problem, then i update to 1.7.5 and sudenly got that error, and now it doesn't work even on earlier versions, give me the same error

so I'm guessing this hasn't improved at all in the last few months?
It has. There have been some regressions but they've done numerous fixes and added a lot of features, e.g. turning off the bottom screen entirely. Many of the emulators have gotten fixes too. Hopefully we can get some major advancements soon, e.g. fixing unai on the 3DS to get better performance over PEOPS for pcsx-rearmed.

You install the retroarch cia and it installs them from the cores folder automatically as you use them or you can install them manually from there

@FateForWindows they arent though they are all just games and diagnostic checks.
If you can get them on your end Id pay you to make me a link

@nightbreed813 I dont have the cores thats what Im looking for the cores
In the .zip file, there is a folder called "retroarch". It is ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY that you copy the ENTIRE folder to the root of the SD. Inside the folder is another folder titled "cores". This contains the CIA files for all of the cores. If Retroarch doesn't install them automatically, install them yourself. If you aren't seeing all of the cores download the latest release version or the latest nightlies as, from testing them, I can confirm that Retroarch does indeed contain all of the cores needed.

You copied the retroarch folder to the root of your SD, right? Also, try not to use 1.7.5. Use a newer nightly since 1.7.5 has issues on the 3DS.
