Hacking CXMB Adrenaline (Custom theme not loading)

I created the Paper Mario (Mario Story Glory) theme and released on endlessparadigm.com but when I converted it to 6.61 with CTFtoolGUI v5 Beta3 and tried to load it on my Vita the icon came up and the preview image did too but when I pressed X and loaded the theme and the screen reset I didn't see my theme only the background loaded and that's it. Please help.

Try using the original 6.60 version

No problem, i remember reading somewhere that 6.61 themes weren't working for some reason, so just stick to 6.60.

Now I can start designing themes again! Yay!! I much rather the PSP layout over the Vita. What are your thoughts on that @kaymynd ?

Awesome! You should post em on here when you're done, I'd love some new themes!x) And i like to customize them both, currently using ps4 theme for vita layout and randomly theme for psp layout so it switches themes every time i boot up adrenaline.

Do you know have 6.60 CTF tools that would be useful to me?
I have CTFtoolGUI v5 Beta3 like I mentioned before and a ton of other stuff.

I'm not sure i might have and not even known it haha, and cool! That theme looks awesome man! You should start a thread where you post your themes, or if you already have one link to it here, I'm sure many people would like some new awesome themes.
I'm not sure about tools, i know there's sony's custom theme converter, MFaudio and RCOeditor for theme sounds, and the ctftool GUI you mentioned. Never tried making themes myself though so I've never used them. Might pick it up later today and see if i can make a theme as well xD

It's easier to mod in 5.00M33 custom firmware and then just convert to 6.60 and edit a bit I currently have 5 themes with ideas for like 5 more. I mainly do themes with sprites and I custom make the backgrounds and I make custom gameboots and cintro's too. I pretty much do it all, even sound effects. I will think about making a post of my themes after I get one done (gonna start on the one I just showed you) - Don't know if you're familiar with Paper Mario it's my all-time favorite video game. Hey I wouldn't mind teaching you how to make a theme I've been looking for someone to teach everything I know I use Adobe products to make my graphics (as well as the ripped sprites off spriteres-resource.com) @kaymynd

Good to know! Do you need a psp on 5.00 m33? I have one on 6.60 and a second on 6.61, should i downgrade one? And wow man that's awesome! I'd love to learn to do all that, so thanks i appreciate the help offer, I'll definitely need it lol. Yea i know paper mario, never played it unfortunately as i didn't have a gamecube but it did look like an awesome game! I still need to download all the programs and decide on a theme to start with, I'll be home in a few hours and will start getting everything ready then. how would i go about starting everything once i have everything downloaded?

I chose a theme called Graffiti Montage to base my theme off of but on others, I have used different layouts.

I've just completed my theme I'm now looking for a way to capture the screen so I can show a youtube preview, but first I want to install the game categories plugin. So much to do but man is it ever fun to mod stuff like this. lol

Ok, i still need to choose a base theme, and i have all the theme programs i mentioned above and all the files for downgrade downloaded. I don't have a Skype unfortunately but I'll make one when I get the chance.
game categories plugin is awesome man, i have it working on psvita adrenaline and psp.
As for capturing the screen i remember there being a plugin where you could stream psp to pc via usb and just capture on pc, can't remember what it's called though, remote joy i think?

@kaymynd You'll have to tell me how you got game categories to work on PSVita Adrenaline (I've heard you're supposed to use the 6.60 version of the plugin). I have it working on my PSP but just haven't tried on my Vita yet mainly because all I was doing yesterday was fine tuning my Paper Mario theme, it came out looking pretty good I'm quite happy with the results. As far as capturing the screen on my Vita I believe there's a plugin I remember remotejoy being for PSP (not sure if the program works the same for the Vita). I look forward to hearing from you but for now, I must sleep lol. TTYS sir.

@BigDaddyWeaves I'm not sure, i do remember struggling for quite a while before i got it working, i can send you the version i have installed if you like.
Awesome bro glad it's coming along nicely, i haven't started on the theming yet, i spent my spare time yesterday looking for vitacheat pointers. And i think remote joy works on adrenaline, I'll verify later today, theres also the new vita plugin but i believe adrenaline shows only black screen, unless that's been fixed already. Lol fasho man goodnight, what time is it where you are? Just curious about the time difference, and ok I'll create a skype later today after work and I'll add you.

@kaymynd I would LOVE for you to send the files over to me via Skype I know I had a pretty big headache when I tried to do it. Hey man take your time I know people have lives to live (myself included) It would be nice to find a screen capture plugin that covers adrenaline right now it's 4:47PM I'll be up for another 4 hours but I'll most likely hear from you tomorrow I'm finishing a good book at the moment lol. Awesome bro! I have many hobbies as well, and choosing which one to do in my spare time is so difficult lol, i want to get to them all, but there's never enough time for everything.

Update: i used the udcd_uvc by xerpi from autoplugin and obs on pc, adrenaline worked! you can stream straight to youtube, or record video, it's awesome bro xD
