Draxzelex - Unfortunately that site you suggested is ever super slow, or I'm missing something...else. Meanwhile, I've got hold of hekate ctcaer v4.2, which is now telling me I have "no payloads or libraries found" - so I guess I need one or some of those now? I've done some googling, but not sure what's what as yet...

Thanks again

load the site he linked, download the default files. yes it will take its time, but it comes with everything you need.

try this https://github.com/tumGER/SDFilesSwitch/releases

Say I were to buy a second Switch that has a serial number confirmed to be hacakble with current methods available, is there anything I need to be careful of that may affect my main console due to faffing about with the "hacking console"?

Did anything happen between the last time they were working and now?
nah, last night i was installing, today in the morning i wanted to check the games and switch said that it may be unlinked and the games cant be opened. and now telling me nsp and xci installation errors.
just to be said since i hacked the switch i wasnt online again and made shure wifi stays off..

Just to say thanks guys, I'm back up and running. I guess I was just using outdated files. Unfortunately I just copied over all the files I downloaded from above, so not really sure what fixed it, which if I'm honest I'd rather know. I also decided I'd just fire up Reinx, so I might well have burnt some bridges, but I can play my games again, and the odd new one ;)

Thanks again

Try to remember if anything happened, no matter how insignificant. The only other thing I can think of is that if your SD card is exFAT, it somehow became corrupted and needs to be reformatted.

yes it is exFAT but recognized by all devices.
But other than waht i told you nothing happened. i let the nsps install over night while i went to sleep but with the switch plugged in.
i was thinking exFAT corruption too but since it's recognized i ignored that factor.
i had an similar issue not too long ago, then all my installed games wouldn't work but i could fix it using hekate's tool to unsign the switch folder and the sd card. this wouldnt work this time..

Corruption has nothing to do with it being recognized as an SD card; it has to do with the filesystem of the SD card being corrupted. If all CFW produce the same issue, then it may be a problem with your SD card that requires it to be reformatted.

Hi there,

I've been using 4.1.0fw and SX OS 1.9 with no AutoRCM, because I had a battery scare some time ago.

I want to update to latest SX OS, but stay on 4.1.0 and not burn any fuses.

My plan is to restore my (untouched) NAND backup, install SX OS 2.0.1, create EmuNAND, and upgrade EmuNAND to 6.0.1 with ChoiDuJourNX (and add exFat compatibility in the same go).

Now, can someone confirm, as long as I am upgrading the EmuNAND to 6.0.1, but keeping my SysNAND at 4.1.0, I don't need to use AutoRCM, or do I have that wrong?

(Anything else I need to keep in mind?)

Ok small question, I'm using reinx, and I get a prompt for a controller update. I'm completely offline. Is it safe to do the controller update? Or will have to press later every time?

You only need AutoRCM to prevent fuses from being burnt if SysNAND is running a higher firmware than the fuse count. You cannot load EmuNAND without RCM in the first place and since you would be using a bootloader that prevents fuses from being burnt to boot into EmuNAND anyways, you have no risk of burning the fuses with EmuNAND.

The controller update comes from the firmware, not the Internet.

Thank you Draxzelex!

Can anyone explain to me why Autorcm seems to impact battery drain in sleep mode?

I want to install it but I'm a bit apprehensive since I keep hearing about how it causes some pretty noticeable battery drain, but I can't even think of why there would be a correlation.
