I got a PSP 3004 (g9) I had sitting around completely disassembled because it had couple issues and been too lazy to fix it. Felt like fixing it just now to play some stuff I felt nostalgic about and while I fixed everything, I got one thing that I don't know what to do with. Whenever it's on, the screen just has many thin black horizontal lines on most of it (there will be a wide strip that works without lines sometimes) and I don't know what could be causing this. It's not so bad I can't play stuff on, but it's fairly annoying. I know the screen itself isn't faulty, as the lines change (their position shifts) every time I reconnect the screen, so it's most probably about the connector or ribbon cables, but I don't know the cause and I'm not sure how I can go from here to troubleshoot... Anyone has any ideas or had the same issue and solved it? I need to fix it to play all the good old Harvest Moon games again!

Bumping with an update so people see this and hopefully help... After very thorough examination of literally everything (took it apart completely this time to reconnect everything and all that while checking every pin of every ribbon cable, connector, motherboard circuits, etc., I saw one and a half of another one of the screen's cables inside the thick orange ribbon aren't intact (it's in the insulated part so I missed it as I was looking at the pins mostly), so gonna try getting a new screen to check... Thing is, I don't know which screen to get, as on ebay the only seller that doesn't charge a ridiculous amount for shipping (can only afford to pay like 30€ tops for this right now) while having very positive reviews has five listings for PSP screens for the 3004 (again, mine is g9 is if matters for this). These are the listings:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/PANTALLA-L...RIGINAL-NUE-/252995322182?hash=item3ae7b24146
https://www.ebay.com/itm/PANTALLA-L...04-ORIGINAL-/263026650104?hash=item3d3d9c2bf8
https://www.ebay.com/itm/PANTALLA-L...RIGINAL-NEW-/252977457327?hash=item3ae6a1a8af
https://www.ebay.com/itm/PANTALLA-L...-ORIGINAL-A-/251323369831?hash=item3a840a4967
https://www.ebay.com/itm/PANTALLA-L...04-ORIGINAL-/252980788471?hash=item3ae6d47cf7

Can someone help me pick the best of these if they aren't all the same? I'm looking for as close as the original screen and just want this fixed now so I can have a fully functional PSP again, just the screen and analog are left to fix (getting analog from this seller too so two birds with one stone). Motherboard is TA-094 if it's any relevant for compatibility...

They are all the same. You just need to be sure they are for Psp 3xxx. There were different motherboards for that model, but they all accept the same screen. I’d go for the one with the most and best reviews. Double check the seller info first (rule one for online purchases).

I did check the seller and having like 97% positive feedback is pretty good enough in my opinion. Also, it's just that some say "new" or "A+", etc., so while it seems to be the same, I'm not exactly sure, that's all... Just don't want to end up with one that doesn't work right, even a slight difference in power can lead to vastly different performance after all and I want it to last for as long as possible! Besides the analog and screen, I haven't had any other hardware issues since I got it and I've had it for close to 8 years now, so until I can somehow find a sealed new one somewhere for reasonable amount of money, I'll have to keep this one alive:P (and yes, sealed brand new, I don't trust secondhand, but all sealed ones I find are of the absolutely shitty abomination that is E1004 :/)
