I have a ps vita fat 1000 with 3.60 and no HENkaku Ensō installed. I want to update to 3.65 but I don’t know if I should download HENkaku Ensō on 3.60, delete it and then re-install it on 3.65 or just install it on 3.65. If anyone could help me also go through the process that would also be much appreciated

Don’t need to install it. And u actually need to ditch Henkaku to get to 3.65. Because Henkaku replaces system update in options menu. There is an old way to update from 3.60-3.65 but I’d just goto vita guide and use h encore. It’s very easy

Thanks! Will do. Any particular parts I need to skip or is the guide obvious enough to which parts I need skip? Are there any other applications I should be working about before getting h encore? Just making sure I do everything correctly so I don’t brick my console. Still a beginner in the ps vita

You can do everything and play games that require 3.68 perfectly on 3.60. No reason to go to 3.65 imo.
Still debating to even update because I’m too scared I will do something weird to my console like I’ve previously done. The main selling point of 3.65 is pkgj but if there is too much risk I will stay on 3.60. Is it also weird that my system version is 3.60 変革 -11 rather than 3.60 変革 -10 ?

Down to preference really, as I have 2 Vita's and a PSTV on 3.60 and I prefer NoPayStation Browser on a PC over pkgi, as it's faster (full bandwidth your connection allows from the servers) compared to Wi-Fi. Plus, if using SD2Vita, it's a easy drag drop of the folders.

Ok interesting. I have a official Sony Ps vita memory stick because my last try at SD2Vita went VERY badly (the SD card corrupted during the process...). I am still going to check how difficult and most accurate guide for me to take for updating to 3.65. I had a look at the PS Vita guide posted about h encore but am still hesitant as I am not 100%

It’s extremely easy. I think you can use pkgj on 3.60. I don’t think it matters. To be honest atleast with 3.65 you can play most games without needing to download compatibility packs.
Get app called autoplugin. It will help you set up plugins. It will setup pkgj config for you. Also it can setup sd2vita for you. Also some other great plugins it has.
I’d also grab itls enso. After you install enso if you download and run itls enso you can install 3.68 module and certificates for 3.68,3.69 and that will allow you to beable to goto github website on vita and then if have download enabler plugin also u can download right to ur vita. Most release are on github so that’s a nice feature
And as for -10 and -11 I’m guessing there must be an update to their installer version or something. When I did my vita it was on -10 but when did my vita pstv it was -11. I went to 3.65 after on both though. Vita I had b4 3.65 was out and on pstv the only reason why I did 3.60 first was so could grab molicularshell as can only get it on 3.60 HENkaku install and it’s got some menu options not in vitashell

I haven’t heard of autoplugin before so I will check it out. I also think my enso is half downloaded as well because it has the molecular shell start up screen instead of the normal PlayStation logo. I’m still not sure if my ps vita is even working 100% after the whole SD2Vita thing. It launched the safe/recovery mode whenever I would start it up and even after formatting it completely, it would still launch the recovery mode. If I do the 3.65 update do you think I should install enso (so it is completely downloaded and doesn’t do anything weird) and then delete it or just continue?

Oh if u have that logo on boot then enso is installed

All enso if is keeps ur hack active
If you didn’t have it and u power ur vita completely down by holding power button for 10 seconds or so and then start ur vita. If you go into options app you will see Henkaku
Gone. If it’s there still then u have enso installed
If not then you’d have to visit the website the reenable it or start molicularshell and at launch screen select the install

If you delete the enso bubble app that doesn’t mean enso is gone. That is just the installer.
And if you go to recovery when vita starts from a coldboot then prob have sd2vita part installed maybe. Check ur config file in tai folder. Ur supposed to delete tai folder on ux0 and just use ur0 tai folder. I’d go into vita shell and choose ur0 and then tai folder and then select config and see if u have sd2vita lines are in there. I forget what they are. Maybe ur0:tai/gamesd.skprx
I think there maybe one dif one. I have sd2vita but haven’t used it yet but my 64G Sony is almost full so will be soon.

What I’d say to you is backup ur apps and stuff u want to pc and ether restore ur vita and update with the dns on guide to 3.65 jap symbol compatible then install Henkaku with h encore then install enso
Or grab enso installer and choose install first. Then after run it again and do uninstall
Then after that restart ur vita and u will see Henkaku is gone from options app. Then put the 3.65 dns in and system update by WiFi and make sure it says 3.65jap symbols compatible. If so then update. Then you can do h encore

I’m pretty sure from sounds of it u do have enso installed but if you don’t and ran the uninstaller it caused a brick. Not sure if that was fixed or not cause a newer enso installer release did come out after the flow mentioned the uninstall issue if u didn’t have enso installed and ran uninstaller

There is a way to install 3.65 update pup from where ur at now but you’d have to search the method. Idk if it’s in the guide anymore. I’m sure skullator has a good YouTube vid of as I had seen it b4

Also b4 u try anything try holding L trigger on boot and see if no goes to recovery menu on coldboot. Then u know plugin is the cause. As that disables plugins on boot

I do not have the HENkaku Ensō bubble installed but my Vitashell was still there even doing a complete format on the recovery mode. Vitashell worked fine after the recovery mode (after holding L) but anything I did wasn’t working (as it would still activate after a boot) and if I tried to re-install molecular shell it would come up with an error on the internet browser. I left it for about a year in a draw and tried again to recover it. It somehow worked fine without having to launch the recovery mode and I could install temp henkaku. It was also weirdly on 3.65 (no henkaku) and when I activated henkaku and got molecular shell it was 3.60 変革 -11 when last time it was -10. Henkaku settings were not available (before) but the molecular symbol was still there? Also do you mean this tutorial:

or this one:

Thanks again aswell for the help!

That’s happened to me a few times where Henkaku disappeared from options app and it now said I was on stock firmware of whatever I had the spoof set to in Henkaku menu before Henkaku disappeared for whatever reason. But enso was still active
As for the -10 and -11 I’m guessing it’s just an update to Henkaku installer. I noticed that change also when had vita on it b4 it was -10 then when I did my pstv later it had the -11

And you not having enso bubble does not mean it is not installed. That bubble is just an installer that installs it to the internals. Once installed you can delete that bubble and you still have enso installed
You might of got confused because you have to install the installer for it to be in the live area. Then u run it from the live area and it installs it to the internal storage. Then if u delete the bubble then u are just deleting the installer app and not the hack itself. To get rid of it you have to use the installer to uninstall or I think if update vita it will rid of it
Henkaku is the actual hack. Enso just makes it so you don’t have to reactivate it after each hard reboot or shutoff
Easiest way to know if you have it installed is do a full shut off and if you see molicular logo is there on startup like u said u see. That is for enso not Henkaku. Also after u do a full power off and turn back on if u have Henkaku in options app then u have enso installed. If u didn’t have it installed u wouldn’t have Henkaku there. You’d have to re go the the online site to trigger the hack or like mentioned before at molicular app launch screen there’s a install Henkaku which I think just a shortcut to the online site
You mentioned it wouldn’t let u goto the site that time it’s prob because u had spoof set to 3.65 and when Henkaku disappeared in System settings it said 3.65 which you can’t install Henkaku from website on

And with compat packs you can stay on 3.60. But why use compat packs if dont have to. Better off going to 3.65 then if games require a higher firm then that then grab compatiblity packs for those.

Yeh the first one u posted was right. I reposted it below

H encore is pretty simple and easy to do but you do have the old way as another option if you want to do it that way
I chose to do it the h encore way
Like other user said you could stay on 3.60 and use compatibility packs. Pkgj can’t download and set them up for you. Then have repatch plugin to make use of them. Which autoplugin app can install that for you. I really recommend autoplugin app

Here’s YouTube vid I mentioned. There’s links in the drop down for all the stuff needed

Thanks! I did checked and it does look like I have HENkaku Ensō. I will try the tutorial and see if everything updates properly. Is it bad if I still reinstall enso or will it brick my console?

You won’t brick if install over install. The problem was b4 of running the uninstaller if you didn’t have it installed. Some users updated and the enso hack was gone from that then they ran the uninstaller thinking it was installed still and it bricked it cause I guess it gets rid of some files the system needs
