Hello,

I have a brand new switch on 3.0.2.
I understand that i should firstly do a nand back up on 3.0.2.
I am thinking of updating it to 5.1.0 and understand that i can update it by using a game cart with the 5.1.0 update on it, could someone please confirm this.
I believe i should again do a nand backup when on 5.1.0.
I will be using an executer sx pro.
I am trying to protect the console from being banned.

Thanks

When U update Switch by ChoiDujour to 5.1.0 or 6.0.0 AutoRCM is ON. I have two Switches one is OFW, second is CFW 3.0.2 -> 5.1.0 and it was never on-line. South Park Stick and NES On-line doesn't work others works fine.

When you backup NAND on 1.0.0 or 3.0.1 or other, and update by ChoiDujour to 4exmple 6.0.0, you can always back to yours 1.0.0 firmware, by restoring NAND.

You cant run any cfw or payloads without RCM..

Backup your console first. before anything
if you want backup 3.0.2 thats fine
and do the same for 6.0 If you wish ..

You can only restore back to the same system version if your not using hekate/or the no burn fuse guide.
But make a backup of both 3.0.2 and 6.0

Heres a backup guide > Click

Goodluck

Sorry for hijacking, but I've got a 1.0 Switch here - would you recommend updating it with ChoiDujour?
I would recommend updating with the homebrew app ChoiDujourNX (ChoiDujour runs on the computer, needs key, and is a lengthy transfer of files unlike the homebrew equivalent). In case case, I highly recommend it as it lets you downgrade to 1.0 at a moment's notice while reaping the benefits of being on a higher firmware.

People don't feel good using autorcm. Pls don't force him
two different things .. one is automatic one is not...

Rcm is a mode already built into the tegra chip its there whether you want to use it or not.

Dont tell someone not to force someone when there clearly not

They never mentioned autorcm, however rcm in one form or another is required to run payloads/cfw/etc. Personally, i would rather just use a modified joycon, and press volume up when I want rcm. Or use an internal trinket m0.

Am i? I was unaware that asking a question=forcing someone to use AutoRCM. not to mention, no one said ANYTHING about AutoRCM...

i didnt see him suggesting AutoRCM
Well, if rcm, sure needed. Autorcm is optional. Impossible he talk about normal rcm.

He has no clue as much as you do.. rcm is required period...whether that Is manual or automatic. Suggest we all leave it there.

Question can i upgrade the console using a specific game which has the update required? Once i liad the game it updates the console itself

look make yourself a backup with my guide do one for your 3.0.2 and once your followed my guide fully
then if you wish to update to 6.0 then just do it manually normal way through the console...
then make a backup of 6.0

then when you wish to use cfw or hack your switch keep it offline...
when u wish to go back online or have unhacked switch restore 6.0 with hekate
